Right that's not the quote StrangeSox posted.

I paraphrased because I was too lazy to dig up the quote again. He said electing Obama or Hillary would be surrendering to terror. Not much difference between that and what I said.

I'll rescind my paraphrased quote and go with what he actually said. It's still BS over-the-top rheotoric that a majority of this country is just fed up with at this point.

Yeah he's saying they both want to pull out if Iraq, and if that happens before it's stablized then Iraq will become a hot bed for terrorists. So in his opinion and many others as well, pulling out is equivlent to surrending to terror, since that's what many beleive will happen.

He didn't say "Hillary and Obama want to let them attack America." which is how your quote can be interpreted and yes if he said that I would call him a nutjob. I don't believe the Dems WANT to hurt America, but I beleive certain actions they will take will inevitably do so. Just as Democrats, believe the actions of conservatives are hurting this country.

Alrighty then, so what was his exit strategy? I didn't hear that in the speech. Just that the Dems want out. Y'know what, we're in trouble. Our National Guard is overtaxed, understaffed and have hand-me-down weapons and gear. Supposedly that's going to change, but my problem is when Dr. Teeth said something along the lines of, a strong America = peace. Yeah, not so much. We are so worried about going to other country's to "stabilize" them that we are forgetting about our homeland security. Bottom line, he went waaaay overboard with some of his statements. IMHO.

BTW, my NY Post headline: Mitt Spit the Bit.

See, your comments here have a bit more substance than what Romney said. When you say things like "surrender to terror," you're shutting down debate and discourse with shallow rhetoric. It's comments like that which made me dislike Romney as much as I did.

If you surrender, you're letting them do what they want, and they want to attack America. It wasn't exactly a stretch.

It wasn't just this speech. Every time I heard him debate or give a speech, it always included some lame shots at Clinton or liberals in general and over-the-top comments. The guy was like a used-car salesman, trying to say anything to get his customers (conservatives) to buy into him.

Everything said by a GOP'er against a Dem is a cheap shot. Everything said by a Dem against a GOP'er is a cheap shot. It depends what side of the fence you happen to be standing on. Pure rhetoric. Both sides are guilty.
