In his mind he was still draining 3's against my jayhawks.

Yeah, that's retarded. He didn't even try to show range today. Everything was inside it seemed. Not a bad idea considering his size advantage against Missouri. If he is hitting outside shots I don't see how a college team can stop him.

He was like 6/6 from 3 point range against Kansas!!! The man is a special talent.

Boy, it's a good thing Bruce wouldn't take E'Twaun Moore because he wanted to leave that spot open for Rose or Gordon!!! Nice call, coach (10-12, 24 points today). Ugh, watching that team is torture, they finally get a good day at the line (30-40) and go 50 percent from the field for 75 points, and the defense forgets there is a game. Nice to see Bruce continue to NOT play Alexander as well, so that the awful at basketball Chester Frazier can continue to play.

And want to laugh? Look at the old dude and the balding dude at the scorers table in that Erin Andrews picture. The looks of joy they have staring at EA are classic.

Too bad that never happened.

Well, I guess your technically right since a few people were stupid enough to think Illinois still had a shot at Rose when Moore verballed to Purdue (late summer before signing day, August I believe). But Illinois could have easily had Moore, but said no, and thus Moore verballed to and visited Purdue. The Moore debacle is a big reason Illinois changed their entire recruiting strategy to the first come, first serve offer system now in place. If Illinois had the same recruiting system the last couple years that it has now, Moore would have had a white jersey on today, but nope, gotta keep a spot open for Rose. That entire thing was made dumber by the fact that the Eric Gordon rumors had been going on for months when Illinois declined a potential Moore verbal. I know everybody anywhere near Illinois with any sources (right down to even me), thought Gordon was still coming to Champaign since we weren't yet aware he was a liar, but it would have been wise to take an insurance policy.

I'm starting to fall for coach Lick at Iowa. The guy is getting guys that did s*** under Alford to actually do something. Hell, had they had Freeman all season they may have a few more wins. They are a horrid team (talent wise) yet they damn near beat Purdue and just beat Ohio State and continue to get better and better.

A decent recruiting class is coming next season (with more shooters, which fits into his style) and if they can take advantage of that he may be able to turn Iowa into a respectable college bball program (one that consistently wins, which is something they have been in the past). In fact, in time they could even become more than that...but I'll go with baby steps and some hope of a potential NCAA tourney next year.

Where was Jerrance Howard when we needed them?!

Told you that you had the best men's coach in the state. ISU lost to a very s***ty Nebraska team, albeit without our best player, but we've not done s*** in 1.5 years, and you've already beat a couple of pretty decent teams.

I hate playing at Northern Iowa.

Yeah, that sucked bigtime. I like the picture on the siusalukis.com where Falker is trying to make a shot with Egleseders hand planted on his face

No foul was called

I was listening online and sounded like the refs were a tad bad, but SIU still had their chances. When Shaw wants to start playing like a man, outside the Creighton game, I would welcome it.

Agreed. I dont understand it, but it seems like teams with the Weber philosophy never can shoot free throws.

Ya, Brian got to read my Matt Shaw rant last night, I'm just tired of him. He's the most inconsistent player in the world and he's a freakin girl. I absolutely knew he was going to miss those ft's last night because it's what he does. Randal played great and got absolutely abused the whole game but whatever he as well needs to get his head out of his ass a lot of the time. This team is so f***in frustrating. I can't wait to get Shaw-Randal out and get Dillard, Bocot, Wood(medical redshirt), Evans, Booker, Roundtree in. I'm tired of this group minus Mullins.

IU beats Northwestern today 75-63. Gordon has a huge game with 29 points and gets to the FT line 8 times, which is an improvement in that department as of late. Granted 4 of those attempts were in the last 5 minutes, but I'll take whatever small victories are available. DJ White chipped in 26 points and 13 rebounds. There is no doubting he has completely taken his game to a new level and it is a pleasure to watch.

Now IU goes into their rough stretch on the schedule with its next 5 games:

@ Illinois

@ Ohio State

vs. Wisconsin

vs. Michigan State

vs. Purdue

Win three of those five and a Big Ten Championship is still possible. Win 4 of 5 and the Big Ten title looks very good. Win two and here comes a 6 or 7 seed in the Big Dance.

I'd like to see more balance and the scoring not be so top-heavy with Gordon and White. We shall see.

LOL, sorry man. Alcohol+anger made me forget to think that some people actually work.

I can also attest to the fact that time exists on a trial basis in Carbondale. Especially on weekends. Especially after drinking.
