Bighurt52235
Not sure what happened on that day, but I'm sure going to watch it. That is about the time that I started watching baseball, and I didn't see a Sox game until summer 97, when I went to a game at the Kingdome. I'm currently overly excited. Bighurt52235
Definitely not, considering he never pitched one. He threw a rain shortened no-hitter in 1991, I believe. At this point the Sox were 5-14, and Frank was hitting .261 with 0 homers in 70 AB's.
SuperSteve
Can't be. I just turned it on and it is 2-2 in top of the second. It brings back memories to see Ozzie Guillen and all the old Sox playing. One thing that was kind of ironic is that there was an in-game highlight of the Pirates scoring on the Phillies. It was Loaiza winning that game 1-0 in the 4th. Bighurt52235
I noticed that. Very curious.... Being reminded of Tony Phillips is silly. (pardon my words) His stance is goofy as hell, and so is him talking to himself all the time.

They showed a highlight of it on WGN I believe when he came in to face the Sox for the Dodgers earlier this season.
JoshPR
Wilson Alvarez Pitched a NO-NO against Baltimore in 1991 and it was a complete one. Melido Perez no hit the Ynanks in 1990 but it was rain shortend. The game on classice has to do something with comebacks maybe

SuperSteve
Alomar was hitting in the 2nd slot and obviously playing second base.
Winning Ugly
Lol great quote by Robin: The San Francisco Giants receive starting pitchers Wilson Alvarez and Danny Darwin, along with top reliever Roberto Hernandez from the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox, just three 1/2 games behind Cleveland in the American League Central, receive minor league SS Mike Caruso, OF Brian Manning, and Ps Lorenzo Barcelo, Keith Foulke, Bob Howry, and Ken Vining. In the house cleaning, the Sox have moved eight players with a combined 92 years of ML experience. Sox 3B Robin Ventura observes, "We didn't realize August first was the end of the season." I never heard that because I was sailing in the Pacific in 97...
