hogan873
Sox win the division after Cleveland falls into Lake Erie and Detroit burns to the ground. The team then rides the high all the way to the World Series where they are swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
hogan873
On a player level, Jon Danks throws three perfect games in a row and baseball officials discover he's just a figment of Kenny Williams' imagination. The Sox organization is fined an undisclosed amount after promoting "No Pants" Mondays.
FlaCWS
Positive: Because of his defense, Owens starts - and finishes - the year as the starting CF. Negative: Both Contreras and Floyd are out of the rotation by June 1. Edited February 14, 2008 by FlaCWS
Balta1701
Gavin Floyd will be our 2nd best starting pitcher this year. Orlando Cabrera will disappoint. Edited February 14, 2008 by Balta1701
Greg The Bull Luzinski
MB, Javy are the only decent starters until Charlie Haeger joins the rotation. Despite Charlie's best effort the Sox win less games than last year and KW goes on suicide/insanity watch after trying to sell his soul to Billy Beane. The White Sox draft another pitcher in 2008. hogan873
Realistically, Cabrera does exceedingly well and wins his second Gold Glove, Buehrle wins 18 games, and Joe Crede starts at third 120 times.
Vance Law
Soxtalk posters continue to be masters of pointing out "why we suck" while completely failing to rationally note how every single other team also sucks, because that doesn't affect them emotionally. Gavin Floyd wins 14.
Marky Mark
Juan Uribe gains another 50 pounds, goes 3 for 30 in the months of April and May with 3 HRs and 27 Ks, and eventually quits the team to open his own Chinese restaurant called "Juan-ton's". Kyyle23
Ok, I will be the shiny happy person for now. The Sox will make the playoffs and surprise many. Quentin and Swisher provide the spark that the Sox were looking for. Thome has a good season, and Ozzie rests him accordingly to keep the stress off of him the outfield competition is better than expected and Ozzie starts using the hot hand correctly, Swisher ends up being the starting centerfielder, but Owens sees plenty of time in defensive switches and late inning pinch running. Cabrera has a solid year, not spectacular, but gets the job done. Crede gets traded, Fields has a great offensive season in his replacement, but has an average year fielding. Pierzynski and Konerko hit closer to their career averages than last year Vazquez steps up as the team ace, Contreras wins 13, Buehrle 16-18 range, with Danks and Floyd winning 10 and 11 respectively. The bullpen is lockdown when healthy, but has a few health scares with Dotel. Jenks saves 40+ Flame on
Gbubbs
The Sox miss the wild card by one game as Mullet night turns into Mullet Demolition Night and over 250 Mullet coifed Sox fans run onto the field with hair blazing while "Shout at the Devil" blares from the PA system causing the Sox to forfeit the second game of a KC double header make-up game.
