DBAHO
The Bears definitely need to spend a 1st day pick on a QB, so they can develop one for a couple of years. Orton's a decent enough stop-gap for the moment. They'll probably need another RB to pair with Forte, so he doesn't wear down next season. Drew Willy, 4th round, Buffalo, 6'3 220, good arm and good accuracy- bank it. Orton's a decent enough stop-gap for the moment. They'll probably need another RB to pair with Forte, so he doesn't wear down next season. Maurice Morris.

smalls2598
Vegas Sportsbooks Super Bowl odds, per ESPN Favorites: Giants 2-1 odds Titans 4-1 Longshots: Cardinals 40-1 Dolphins 30-1 "Before the season, the two teams that opened with the longest odds to win the Super Bowl were the Dolphins (250-1) and the Falcons (200-1). Now they're both in the playoffs. The two preseason favorites -- the New England Patriots (2-1) and Dallas Cowboys (7-1) -- failed to reach the playoffs." knightni
I wouldn't put anything past the Dolphins, they're an AFC sleeper team. They can beat Baltimore and Pittsburgh; but, might have problems with Tennessee.

At about 7:00 PST last night, I'd have said that the 2 dogs that scare me the most are Philadelphia and San Diego, because each of them piled up the losses this year when their key running back was struggling with injuries, and last night LT looked as good as he'd looked all season. Then he wound up with a hamstring injury, so I'm backed to being scared of Philly in the East because they have Westbrook healthy.
knightni
QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 01:02 PM) Happy trails, Eric Mangini. Why fire Mangini? It's ownership's fault that they went with Favre over Pennington, then gave Penn to a division rival.

The biggest problem though IMHO, is they didn't have enough weapons and on top of that, they lost a high pick because of that trade.

Since they missed the playoffs it'll only be a 3rd round pick I think. Given the issues they had with Pennington over the years, he'd probably constantly have been looking over his shoulder in NY. With a new stadium, etc., it was still the right move for them to make.

Balta1701
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 05:11 PM) 3rd round pick is still pretty valuable. Who do they go after that is better than Mangini though? BTW, I think he would make a great OC with the Bears. Let's see...Lovie Smith...with OC Mangini, DC Crennel, and D-Line coach Marinelli. The all-star coaching lineup for the Bears. Somehow, I just don't see them spending the $ on that.

I don't think Mangini has ever been an offensive coach in the NFL, so why would we want him to be our OC? Or is that a typo and you meant DC? Leonard Zelig
I thought I heard on the radio that next year the Pro Bowl will be moved to Florida and be held the week before the Super Bowl. Has anybody else heard this? Is it true? It would probably draw a lot more TV viewers.

Crennel: Fired Weis: fat and soon to be fired Mangina: Fired I guess Ferentz, Saban, and Pat Hill make up for it, but jesus the recent ones have been terrible.
