Kyyle23
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) And what about the way he speaks to people, sometimes in his own circle? I guess he's the golden boy of the football team though. But you are assuming all other football players are nice guys and Urlacher is not because you have a buddy who didnt get a tip. To be honest, this is the first I have ever heard of Urlacher being a "Im better than you" non tipping jerk. Urlacher had private text messages put in the sun times by his kids mom because she is trying to get money from him and make everythign difficult for him. And he takes the high road everytime and doesnt talk about any of the crap she pulls (like not dropping the kid off where she was supposed to, which is what set him off in those text messages), he just lets the court handle it. Urlacher very well may be a private person who doesnt like his life exposed the way it has been, which makes him seem like a jerk. But I dont know the guy, and I am certainly not going to put him in Briggs boat because he made a bad choice and went without a condom
lostfan
Urlacher really should do condom commercials though, he'd be perfect. "Wear condoms when dealing with these random hoes people, or you will end up like me with a crazy b**** making my life miserable" Edited August 15, 2008 by lostfan

"Wear condoms when dealing with these random hoes people, or you will end up like me with a crazy b**** making my life miserable" LMAO. And at the end of the commercial Michael Flatley can step into the screen and say "I used condoms. And now I am 11 million dollars richer. There's no convincing Bears fans that Urlacher is nothing but a stand up, awesome, fun guy.
Gregory Pratt
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 11:30 AM) Might want to rethink that. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...s?urn=nfl,70610 It happens. Men as diverse as John McCain and Babe Ruth have fought their superiors. One man throwing a punch at another is not so bad. I mean, I don't know what the dynamics are in Cinci or with Lewis/his players, but on its face I don't really concern myself with this. I'm not a big fan of Johnson but I think he's hilarious. He could play on my team. ... Watching this NFL Yearbook is super weird. You'd think the Bears had the greatest defense of all-time. I'm so glad the season is starting soon. fathom
This Bears offensive line is seriously awful. It's sad that there's so little to look forward to this season.
EvilJester99
Bears are going to be a disaster until they fix that o line.
lostfan
Yes. We are going to suck so bad this year it's going to be hilarious. We could get by this year if we even had something remotely resembling a capable O-line.
GoodAsGould
All things considering Grossman didnt do too bad given the performance of the O-Line. I dont understand why we are never capable of picking up the blitz. I know Williams will be a big boost towards end of season but we definitely need to address the line in next years draft too, get some guards that can push the line hopefully. daa84
even though we are winning right now...this has been a poorly played game...especially on O ...lots to be concerned about, not alot to be excited about
whitesoxbrian
Our OL is awful. Not even considering Faneca really hurts now. Grossman is a bad football player. His throws were behind guys, in front of guys, and over-thrown.
GoodAsGould
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) Our OL is awful. Not even considering Faneca really hurts now. Grossman is a bad football player. His throws were behind guys, in front of guys, and over-thrown. Your honestly blaming Grossman? Im not saying he was great by any means but not a lot of QB's are going to produce given that protection and the weapons we have to throw too. Bennet dropped another pass ofcourse, so far very unimpressive in recieving. The fact Grossman ended up 9 for 15 is shocking to me. Next week Orton should start again and if he plays fairly well id assume would get the starting gig.
whitesoxfan101
I was thinking 5-11 for the Bears, but they might be one of the worst teams in the league, and thus be a game or two worse than that.
lostfan
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 11:44 PM) I was thinking 5-11 for the Bears, but they might be one of the worst teams in the league, and thus be a game or two worse than that. The defense is too good and will prevent them from losing that many games. The bright side to this is they won't waste a lot of money due to drafting a bust in the top

Just a mid-range FA at LG would have sufficed and there were plenty of those, but Angelo didn't seem interested.
SoxAce
Damn that young TE Davis is going to be a stud though given the chance. Still has a ways to go... but damn!
GoodAsGould
Yeah the TE we drafted looks like he can be very effective. Also he is such a huge guy so can be used in blocking and passing situations, basicly next season he should be 2nd behind Olsen on the depth chart and clark should be gone. Maybe Im not buying that he is a big douche because you have friends(plural) who have had experiences with him and your own experience which you havent even talked about? Maybe Im just saying that he likes to be a private guy who has had his private life put on blast by the Suntimes, which would make any nice guy an ass to say the least. Maybe im saying i dont know the guy personally, so im not going to judge him based on some 2nd hand accounts that arent even close to be substantiated. They are going to have a bottom 3 offense in football though, and odds are it will be THE worst offense in my opinion.

Greg Olsen is eventually going to be the starter and the kid we drafted this year looks good and should fill in 2nd behind Olsen nicely. lostfan
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) What in that did you not understand? Greg Olsen is eventually going to be the starter and the kid we drafted this year looks good and should fill in 2nd behind Olsen nicely. Clark is signed through 2010 (just got extended this year) and considering he's been among the league leaders in YPC for TEs the past couple of years and has been one of the most consistent players on this offense, it would frankly be retarded to just dump him. If anything, if Davis ends up being good it means we have 2 good young TEs and a solid veteran. But it makes no sense whatsoever to get rid of a productive player especially when you have a lack of playmakers on offense as is.
knightni
Davis might be Special Teams for '08-'09, then Clark can be dealt for a pick next season.
