cwsox
some goof on the MLB board is claiming ESPN is reporting we are trading for Tejada - someone in Chicago listening and can shed some light on this?
Mr. Showtime
Someone said earlier that Mac, Yurko, and Harry claimed there was some talk about it. There are so many rumors floating around right now, it's not even funny. Ponson for Konerko is the only one I see happening.
aboz56
If we trade for Tejada, it better be because we are going to sign him to a long term deal. Otherwise, I want no part of a rental deal in which we would most likely be forced to give up guys like Honel, Cotts and Reed.
doubleM23
Why would anyone want any part of a deal for Tejada?
Jim Fainter
Valentin is playing his best baseball of the year.

rafacosta
I want Tejada on this team but he needs to come here for unknow prospects instead great prospects like Cott, Honel...btw Jose is playing very well lately. Ponson for Konerko i will do it in a hurry. We have Carl and Daubach in the DH and we can be better defensevely with Willie in CF agst RH and Aaron agst LH. Mr. Showtime
Why would anyone want any part of a deal for Tejada? I know I don't watch much A's baseball. However, I could've swore Tejada was the AL MVP, and a guy who if he played at the Cell would be a stud. Yet I don't want any part of this? Fem23
A guy on ESPN says The Score is saying it might be Griffey, but I just had the station on and they're not talking about it, so nothing is hot right now.
RedPinStripes
f*** Tejada and all these 3 month players. If they have to get another rent a player, get a good starter or a reliver. Danny Wright jut wont cut it. Or i would trade Everet if we can get a real CF with speed and good ob%

Let me give everyone some free advice. All of this is bull. If and or when a trade happens, have a feeling about it at that time.

I'm talking about the player who's OPS is .746 (32 points under our everyday shortstop. I see better holes to fix than short.

Mr. Showtime
Compensational draft picks. wtf? No logic at all to this. So we trade Honel, Cotts, and lets say Borchard for Tejada. He plays 90 games for us, we let him go so we can get draft picks? wtf? Why bother in the first place?
Cerbaho-WG
If we trade for Tejada, and let him go, we might set a record for first round picks in the draft.
cwsox
If we trade for Tejada, and let him go, we might set a record for first round picks in the draft. that's not a record that I really want to set or will translate into victories before Green Day's next Number 1 hit
DonkeyKongerko
I don't want to ruin this run we're having by KW trading with Billy Beane. Maybe Beane just wants Cotts back really bad. He has hosed us enough for me to implore Kenny, "NO MORE TRADES WITH OAKLAND, EVER". Btw cw, does Green Day still release albums?

cwsox
Btw cw, does Green Day still release albums? not since 1997's Nimrod although they toured with Blink 182 last summer - that was my attempt at really trying to define "maybe never" they were on my mind because in the NTN trivia contest today there was a Green Day question, I was the only one in the bar who knew the answer, and thus I beat all the local competition -
witesoxfan
Right now, I don't want Tejada. Valentin is playing much better offensively, is left-handed(or should be at all times), and quite frankly, he plays better defense, whether you want to talk about range, arm strength, or hands(Valentin beats him in all 3 categories, IMHO). f*** Tejada. I don't want to get hosed by Beane again(I don't give a s*** who is running the program, Beane's gonna rape us either way), and I don't want anymore deals unless it is for a starter or a reliever. Simple as that.
