A guy on ESPN says The Score is saying it might be Griffey, but I just had the station on and they're not talking about it, so nothing is hot right now.

Haven't heard a thing and I have watched ESPN BBTN twice tonight. I don't want to be getting the likes of Tejada, Everett and Alomar for just 3 months either. If we terade for them then sign them and that even includes Colon. We are giving up a lot of prospects for rent-a-players otherwise. I wouldn't bet on tejada nayway and besides Valentin is doing the job and I think Alomar is going to make him better.

Yes getting Tejada would be really pointless. The only way that we can turn this season around and be in the playoffs is if our current players perform to their expectations. No one's even hitting .300 on this team, which is pathetic for a team with this much talent. I'm just waiting for the offense to realize that they need to score some f***ing runs.

The biggest positive of the season is that our pitching has been great. We're in almost all of our games, and when that offense wakes up from its season-long nap, consider the division ours :headbang

I guess all this trade talk means that Carl Everett was not our "missing piece" after all. Of course, we will still have to give up Pacheco, Webster, and Rupe, or whomever.

The other day I was reading the NY Times, and there was a very brief note in there about how much they liked Royce Ring.

Why wouldn't the NY Times say they liked Royce Ring? They have a history of loving who they trade for, and tearing apart who they trade. It makes the dumbass NY population think their team is making the right move.
