Lol no they arent, i meant granted they are good games on the ps3 as well, but both of them are definitely superior on a pc. And it doesnt cost a ton to buy an upper tier computer if you put it together yourself...

Heck a good CPU and motherboard will cost you that. Not even talking about a good video card. They better look better on the PC with those costs. DrunkBomber
Anybody else not into FPS? All I play for the most part are sports games and I would have to rank Madden and NCAA about even in terms of my likability. I also like Fight Night Round 3 and Live. Yeah but you can do a lot more than play video games on a computer lol. So yes, your going to pay more money on a pc than a ps3/360 but if you spend the money its going to be a lot better for gaming and so much more you can do besides games(like post on soxtalk ;p)

While a new console comes out every 4/5 years, you've probably got to upgrade computer parts every 2 years. And when you have to upgrade the major parts, you might as well buy a new computer, which will, again, run you about the cost of at least 2 PS3's. I don't disagree that the PC gaming market is impressive, but there's a reason there is a console market and a reason it does well, too. Lol, if you build a good computer to begin with, when you upgrade you will definitely not have to spend 1000 dollars... not too mention nowadays with warehouse prices and all the rebates you can get.... cost has gone down. I like having both though personally, have a 360/wii and a good gaming pc.

I understand the PC well enough to know that I'm perfectly content with the console market. I'll spend what I need to on a computer to get my basic essentials of Word, Internet, Music--and with my PS3 I still won't touch Gaming PC prices. Besides, you're talking about building a computer. I know how to do it, but it's not everyday knowledge. If you buy one stock, well, then, I might as well sell my left foot to get a good gaming PC. I envy the PC gamers to some degree, but it's just not a world for the budget conscious people. Edited March 10, 2008 by BobDylan

Eh, I think of all my friends who have done it in the past only 2 are virgins lol. One because he is super nerdy and all the other because he is a complete dumbass. The rest of us have gotten plenty of action lol.

Jenksismyhero
This argument is as ridiculous (and pointless) as the wii60 vs ps3 debate. However I will say this: a good computer shouldn't put you back too much. Everyone here has a computer. I'm guessing it's anywhere from 500-1500 dollars. Even the cheapest computer can be made into a good (not top of the line, but really "top" is a waste of money because like 2 games utilize the technology) gaming computer. Make sure you have a couple gigs of RAM and a graphics card in the $200-250 range and you'll be able to play anything at a normal to high graphics setting. I bought a typical gateway (nothing fancy except the 22 LCD) and an ATI 1950x pro ($250) and I can play anything and everything out there. You can waste $500+ on a better graphics card, but it really won't do much for you unless you're ubber-picky with the graphics (and i mean ubber... most times i can't tell the difference). And the minute my graphics card becomes average, I can go buy the same card (now a year or so old) for about 100-150 bucks and link them up to become "top" again.
