Mullins is officially done for the year. This game is going to be ridiculously gross. I'm going to watch just for the humor.

chimpy2121
Eh, we play Akron then either Mass or some other small school. Ultimately, if we go on far enough we'll get killed by Syracuse.
Felix
Great coverage by the selection show there, they talked about the Gophers for a whole of 2 seconds. We'll probably be able to hold off Maryland (especially since this is a home game, right?), but Syracuse will likely kick our ass in the second. Felix
QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) Maryland's going to pound Minnesota. Not if they play like they have lately. It'll be interesting, that's for sure. (also, I reserve the right to be a homer in this regard, it's postseason basketball... after last years debacle, it's pretty exciting to be in any tournament, even if it isn't the NCAAs) Edited March 17, 2008 by Felix
Palehosefan
SWEET, Texas Tech with a 16-15 record and 7-9 record in the Big 12 and can't even get an invite to the NIT or the CBI. LOL.
knightni
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 09:31 PM) SWEET, Texas Tech with a 16-15 record and 7-9 record in the Big 12 and can't even get an invite to the NIT or the CBI. LOL. I've heard that most of the major conferences (including the Big 12) are boycotting the CBI.
Palehosefan
Yes, the Big 12 is boycotting the CBI. But the ACC is boycotting it as well and Virginia accepted a bid anyways.

Buehrle>Wood
I see no reason to boycott the CBI. Gazelle is a fine organization, they run the CBE, Coaches versus Cancer, and the Legends Classic. In the very least, it's an excuse to practice a couple extra days or weeks.
knightni
Maybe the NIT was pressuring them.
Kyyle23
Its too bad it is getting boycotted. there are a lot of seniors out there that want just one more game.
Palehosefan
I've heard that you have to pay 60k to get in, and that's why conferences are boycotting them.
