Between Quenten, BA, Swisher, Owens, Dye, and potentially Ramirez, our outfield situation is suddenly very crowded. While this is certainly a better situaion than playing Andy Gonzalez in the OF, I also share the sentiment that I wish we could move Dye to let the young guys play. Dam NTC.

I'm going to look at the bright side for now. After watching the game today, I'm worried about JD. He looks baaaaad. He could turn it around, but if his legs aren't under him again this year...we've at least got options to sit him early and give him time to get right.

And while Quentin looks good, I think that giving him at least a month to get back in baseball shape is not going to be a bad thing.

I agree, but I think Dye and his approx 10 mil salary might have to be sitting in a wheel chair in order Ozzie to seriously think about sitting him for younger guys.

If Dye didn't like the White Sox moves and they are struggling to stay in the race, he might just waive that NTC. Then you could move Swisher to RF or bring up Quentin. Lots of options.

He still has some stuff to learn, and Greinke overpowered him quite a bit, but that is a wonderful swing from Alexei. Short and quick, limited stride, head was totally frozen. He just needs to see the pitchers now.

Carlos Quentin homered, doubled, drove in three runs and threw out a man at home plate during Sunday's game.

Quentin is batting .290/.333/.548 in 31 at-bats this spring. He's most likely the White Sox's third-best outfielder, but the best he can hope for right now is a bench spot. Even that is somewhat in doubt because of Brian Anderson's outstanding spring.

Anyone have BA's overall ST numbers also?

.362 avg/.464 obp/.690 slg/ 1.154 ops

in 58 AB

4 HR, 1 3B, 5 2B, 11 1B

12 RBI

11 BB, 12 K

And, if he was able to sustain those numbers over 550 AB in the regular season, he'd have:

38 HR, 9 3B, 47 2B, 104 1B

114 RBI

104 BB, 114 K

I think it's safe to assume these are the numbers he'll put up...
