mike12345
How can you call yourselves true sox fans when all you do is criticize the players on our team who are struggling and praise the ones who are doing good....koch has put up good numbers throughout his career and i think will eventually help the sox out much more than he will hurt us...i am just as much as a fan as you all but i dont see why everyone says he is horrible when all i heard about was how good he was when we first acquired him
Guest hotsoxchick1
because thats what being a true fan is all about... you criticize, you praise, and you cheer for the wins and b**** about the losses....its just waht being a fan is all about.....if we didnt have that, then whats the point in being a fan in the first place?????? CubKilla
i am just as much as a fan as you all but i dont see why everyone says he is horrible when all i heard about was how good he was when we first acquired him You didn't hear that out of me. I was one of the few from DAY 1 that didn't like this f***in' trade. Foulke blew 2 or 3 games last season early on and was hardly allowed to close again despite the fact that his ERA the second half was damn near 1.00. I'm willing to bet the reason why Foulke never got the chance to close again was because of KW and his petty bulls*** lockeroom politics. Now, because of Beane fleecing KW again and JR signing this stiff for about 5 million over the next couple of seasons BEFORE HE THREW ONE PITCH IN A WHITE SOX UNIFORM, we're more than likely stuck with this heart attack inducing "closer." How many games do we have to see Botch struggle before either JM, the Organization, or both realize that Botch couldn't close a book cover at this point? Koch has been nothing but a distraction on this team. He's got a big mouth, something that's not needed. CWSOX45
CubKilla
BTW..... I'm sick of hearing, "Maybe Cotts will be this deals saving grace." ENOUGH! For all we know, Cotts could be the second coming of Botch. How many pitchers have dominated in A, AA, or AAA ball only to be lit up like a T-Ball stand come facing ML offense? Fact is, we need a reliable closer now ..... especially if we're going all or nothing and Botch is the furthest thing from it. Cotts maybe this deals saving grace if he's called up tomorrow and starts closing games for us NOW! So stop all the "if's" bulls***. Cotts ain't helping us now when we need it . Cotts ain't helping us now when we need it . i was for the most part not happy with the trade. i did mention that i will give way to others on this subject. however i thought we gave away players that was good. for me to find a reason not to swear at kw, and believe me i am refraining, is that cotts might save this trade. if he develops and becomes the starter that some think he can. however, until that happens, we lost this trade and kw again got fleeced. ok
witesoxfan
Killa....I agree with you. One little note....Foulke's ERA was near 1.00 the second half of last year....it was 0.74 IIRC. Also, Koch's contract was a 2-year, $10 mill deal. Nice f***ing move KW. Let's convert him into a starter!

One of the few certainly includes me, because I certainly haven't defended Billy Botch. rafacosta
We need another guy to close the games for us. Gordon or Marte or acquire a closer. It was good to us this happening right now. Because we know that we are weak on the closer spot. Think if it happens in the end of the season in the division race. It would be worst than now. GO KENNY! TAKE ANOTHER CLOSER!!!
