Personally, I don't believe they're going anywhere this season. They could have won both games with a combined score of 100-0 or lost 100-0 and it wouldn't have changed anything. I doubt the opinions of many others have changed.

However, you have to admit -- if you're an optimistic type of person -- that back to back starts such as we've seen with Buehrle and Vazquez cannot happen EVER if we're going to compete. We need consistency out of those two considering the starters who fall behind them. One can fall, but both falling -- and in a limited amount of innings -- is unacceptable.

Nice post!

People can hate Uribe all they want and he did fan 3 times in the opener, but he's been seeing as many pitches per at bat as anyone else. I think he will have a good year.

Half those are swings and misses at pitches a foot out of the zone though.

Same old same old.

After two games, I am amazed at how much of a better team the Indians arethan the White Sox.

On another none, where is our Fausto Carmona? And where was Fausto Carmona when the Indians needed him to close out the ALCS?

This Carmona would have no lasted 4 innings against the Red Sox. He had no control tonight, but we didn't let him implode.

Yeah, a single on a pitch at shoulder level in the 8th inning of a 6-1 ball game after looking terrible in his first two at-bats changes everything.

The thing is, I don't think the Indians offense is very good. Sizemore's a stud, but besides him, it's nothing amazing. Hafner really sucks now. The Indians have the two aces at the top though. I still think the Tigers are far and away the best team in this division.

But he can dominate our softball lineup, which highlights why the Indians are so much better of a team.

Well, duh! It just infuriates me so much to think that we can up most of our farm system this offseason, spent a lot of money on relievers, sent down Fields for Crede....and we're still a bad team.

The Indians don't have any stud hitters, but they have a lot of good scrappy type hitters. That said, I would wager the Indians win the Division by 3+ games over the Tigers.

The team on the field right now may not be playing well, but I think this team, as constructed, is significantly better than "Bad".
