The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 09:42 AM) 90, 92, and 92 on the last three FB's. Maybe a bad reading? gameday shows you the release speed and the speed it crosses the plate. maybe that's it?
maggsmaggs
So far Danks doing a solid job of keeping the ball down. However, I am just concerned one walk will lead to a run or two and we won't score any today.
scenario
QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 11:38 AM) Westbrook = Seaver No. Westbrook = Garland. Seaver was in an entirely different league. Seaver was more like Pedro Martinez in his prime. Westbrook will never play in that stratosphere.
kwolf68
QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) I've been seeing at 90-92 Good, I'll quit looking at those numbers now. I knew JD was 90-93...looking good thru 3 for the kid. I like it.

SoxWS05
What happened to Konerko's power? It looks like he hit that pretty hard.
Capn12
That was an absolute rocket off the bat of Konerko, but of course, our nemesis Grady Sizemore makes the play.

witesoxfan
For the record, Jake Westbrook has yet to allow a run in 2008....in the regular season or spring training. He's kind of in the zone right now.

kwolf68
Amazing....both pitchers with no-nos thru 4... I noticed GameDay is saying Danks is throwing a cutter...I know he started working on that last year. I'm starting to feel good about this kid in our rotation. If Count can pitch back to form and our top two guys don't suck eggs like they did the last two nights, we COULD Have a reasonable rotation here. southsider2k5
I haven't seen the game, but based off gameday Danks must be looking really nice. 45 pitches through 4 IP, means he must really be listening to Buehrle on the bench.
