scenario
Lucas Harrell with a one-hitter through 4 innings. Update... 5 innings. Edited April 4, 2008 by scenario
fathom
Fields is 0-3 with 3 K so far.
BearSox
Harrell went 5 strong, K'ing 4, walking 1, and allowing just 1 hit... I really like Harrell (and Cassell), and I am expecting big years from them.
witesoxfan
So nobody did anything of significance for Charlotte tonight except Haeger, who went 7, allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, 1 BB, and 6 Ks. So I guess there's that.
scenario
Bottom of the 9th. Greenville batting with the bases loaded... 2 outs... and Kannapolis holding on to a 1 run lead. Wander Perez called in to pitch to put out the threat. Strike out. Save. Kanny wins 3-2. Sounds like a fun opening night. http://www.intimidatorsbaseball.com/clubho...kanafx_capafx_1 Edited April 4, 2008 by scenario
Marky Mark
White Sox MiLB will be harder to follow this year without Gio and DLS. I hope 2 or 3 guys step up big time this year and show themselves as prospects worthy of our excitement. I hope Lucas is one of them. Marky Mark
Bureau told me Justin Edwards may be the next Mark Buehrle in 4-5 years. Lets see how that goes. By the way, DLS went 6 IP, 2ER, 5 hits, 1 BB, 6 Ks Edited April 4, 2008 by Markbilliards
scenario
QUOTE(Markbilliards @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 11:12 PM) White Sox MiLB will be harder to follow this year without Gio and DLS. Keep in mind that last year at this time, nobody had a clue who DLS was.

JPN366
Harrell pitched great, looked sharp. You would never know his missed almost 18 months after shoulder surgery.
scenario
I wouldn't be surprised if Leroy Hunt turns out to be this year's 'surprise' player (like DLS) in our system. After a rough start last year, something clicked in. The last month of the season, he was great. If he picks up where he left off... people will be talking about him pretty soon. NorthSideSox72
I think Kanny is going to be pretty bad this year. But W-S looks good. B-Ham might be fun to watch.
scenario
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 09:45 AM) I think Kanny is going to be pretty bad this year. But W-S looks good. B-Ham might be fun to watch. Why do you think Kanny will be bad? It's made up of most of the guys from last year's very good Great Falls team, with a few of the best players from Bristol. They've got some live arms and their lineup looks pretty solid to me. Also, Juan Moreno doesn't show up on the Kanny roster yet, but I'm pretty sure he's there. If he is, and he pitches anywhere close to what he did last year, that staff has a chance to be pretty good. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=467151 Edited April 4, 2008 by scenario
