sox-r-us
QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 05:57 PM) There is nothing wrong with Uribes D, thats a silly 'conclusion' after one mental error. Its not new news that Uribe is a bit of a mental liability defensively, but there is nothing wrong with his glove work. Good lord guys. I agree....time to move on and quit over-reacting on Juanny's D How soon people forget the catch by Uribe in the WS 2005

Bhay99
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 12:52 PM) Who do the White Sox have that is better defensive at second than Uribe? It is a sad situation when Juan Uribe is your best option at 2b....we should have taken care of this already

Rowand44
It's amazing how good of a hitter AJ is when he just tries to drive the ball to the opposite field. Gotta shut 'em down right here, JC. Edited April 4, 2008 by Rowand44
max power
The problem is 2nd base isn't a defensive position. He is even more worthless there than he was at short.

"All this has done is put the Tigers in a better position to contend with us" - Kenny Williams (December 12, 2007)" Remember we did go 11-7 last year against them despite the horrible year we had It's the 4th f***ing game of the season one of the worst things you can do as a fan is overreact to early season happenings. Greg Hibbard
QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 11:59 AM) I agree....time to move on and quit over-reacting on Juanny's D How soon people forget the catch by Uribe in the WS 2005 I'm sorry, was that catch made at second base or something? Playing great shortstop defensively does not equal playing great defense at any other infield position. Why don't we ask Alex Rodriguez how easy it is to transition from shortstop to another infield position? How the hell this organization got into this position is beyond me. A streaky .230ish hitter with SOME pop playing out of position is a liability in almost every respect compared to many other alternatives.
