oralsoxpodcast
I like the sound of that, Pants. But doesn't that mean the same thing for the Twins? It's hard to imagine the Twins NOT doing well. Let's just hope that they do indeed struggle on the road like they're supposed to.
Pants Rowland
QUOTE (oralsoxpodcast @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 09:19 PM) I like the sound of that, Pants. No doubt, but they are not at 20 over yet. I think they will get there and possibly make the WC. IT was more of an indicator that the Sox are a strong enough team to keep up a good pace from here on out, hopefully outlasting the surging Twins. southsider2k5
Also interesting to note that Boston lost as well, so the White Sox now have a better record than them by having one less loss than the BoSox.

CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 07:04 AM) Since June 1 45-27 .625 Wpct Since June 11 42-20 .677 Wpct (over a full year, that would equal a 109-110 win season!) I was miffed watching the Twinkies beat the Angels in Anaheim in 12 innings. The Angels had 2 hits in the 1st inning then only managed 3 more hits in the next 11 innings. joejoesox
0.5 games ahead of the twins, but more importantly 1 game in the loss column i cant believe we lose 2/3 to the rays, twins split with the angels and the twins get the consolation prize of: nothing. lol

When all of the experts predicted 4th place, and everyone here agreed with them, being in first place in the end of August is a prize. Its a helluva lot better than 99.9% of people thought we would do.

Its a helluva lot better than 99.9% of people thought we would do. Is it time to bring back the pre-season prediction thread? I think we have already surpassed the victory total that some of the more pessimistic posters predicted.
