"Typical sox game. Come out flat, like you dont give a f***, against a sub par team. ABSOLUTELY pathetic."

You said it all right there.

The team probably will feel good about its little comeback in the ninth.

Bad at bats by Dauber and Everett but we I guess we can't expect to come back on the Rays

like they did on us last night.

This team is so dysfunctional. We waste two very good pitching performances on the road and lose both games to one of the youngest and worst teams in baseball.

That sucks.

I can tell you guys why the rays are kicking our ass. Pinella is a good manager and has figured out the sox. He knows theyre stupid stupid hitters and has instructed his pitchers to keep the ball out of the zone, ensuring the sox players will get themselves out. ITs pretty obvious.......and sad.

Reason we lost this game = Miguel Olivo.

He made a couple of great throws but...he made two HUGE mental mistakes.

Batting with bases loaded he was ahead in the count and swung at 3 balls in the at bat.

Biggest mistake he made was throwing to third on the sac bunt. He really had no shot at the runner and the eventual winning run was not the guy on third but the guy on first since we lost the game 3-2.

Miguel is young so I can't totally rip on him but I hope he has learned from this game.

im thinking we can also add leaving guys STRANDED once again..... its got to the point where we cant go a game without doing so....not a way to win games..........

Great points donkey.

No excuse for not taking ball four on that one at bat.

I don't like Daubach and Everett failing to get the tying run in after we rallied.

Hope we aren't giving up too much young talent because it does not look

like we have what it takes to win anything of note this year.

The good news is Minny and KC are both losing by a bunch as i write this.

Didn't read this thread so if I'm repeating something I apologize. We attended this game. Seats were great, crowd small, but lively. Concessions are among the best IMO. First indoor game I ever attended. It felt strange. The Tropicana Dome has absolutely no character, but I love baseball. Jorge Sosa looks so hittable. I'm amazed and dumbounded that the Sox didn't pound him. He's got Nothing. Thomas and others fishing for pitches low and away. Baldelli, Huff and Crawford are good players for the Rays. Baldelli looks especially nice in CF. Loaiza struggled his last three innings. Hitters are starting to solve him and I will be shocked if his ERA is under 3 at the end of the year. He had a nice little run and now he is going back to being Estaban Loaiza. The Sox could not get the timely hit until the 9th. They looked flat, I think Koch's butchery the previous evening demoralized the team. Everett looked safe on that play at second. They were many vocal Sox fans in attendance. This was a terrible series for the Sox. They blew it big time. The three run homer walk off loss on Friday was awful. The Rays announcer said that Koch threw three straight change ups to Al Martin. Al Martin??? The announcer seemed oblivious to the fact that Koch has totally lost his velocity and is trying to get by on his wits and finesse. You saw the results. That was the worst loss of the year. The Sox will probably finish around .500 for the year. No playoffs. If I'm wrong great. I don't want to be right.
