Flash Tizzle
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 08:51 PM) Marshall clearly has nothing to do with it. But......they're playing at Wrigley Field!!! Something about playing there makes advancing runners, avoiding DPs, and missing Jason Marquis' twenty hanging breaking balls unavoidable. They should sweep all visiting ballclubs. That's the impression I had from some people on Sunday. Edited June 25, 2008 by Flash Tizzle
daa84
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) And to think Cubs could have had him instead of Ryan Harvey. Of course, they could have had the best prospect in baseball, Wieters, if they wanted to. a few teams could have had markakis...he was actually considered an over draft when he was picked too...and alot of teams were pretty surprised that the orioles were drafting him as a position player and not a pitcher Edited June 25, 2008 by daa84
fathom
The Cubs are the most amazing 7th inning home team I've ever seen. 7-4, and still no outs in the inning.

Swingandalongonetoleft
Soon as Murton made contact I was certain that was going to be a long shot into the night flanked by Kermit the Frog yelling at the top of his lungs.

Swingandalongonetoleft
Unbelievable. Curious how people would react if (IF) they did end up playing at the Cell should there be renovations and they played like this at "home".
Flash Tizzle
HAHA, SIT DOWN KOSUKE! If they can't end the game here against Blanco the Orioles deserve to lose.

whitesoxfan101
I wouldn't be surprised if they go into a streak of playing relatively mediocre (around .500) ball at home for a few weeks now that the mystique of not losing there for 5 weeks is gone. It was nice to see them lose at that s***hole for once. Edited June 25, 2008 by whitesoxfan101

LittleHurt05
By the way, anyone know what their rotation is looking like for the series against us? If they just went in order it would be Dempster Saturday, but I thought I read that they wanna keep him on four days rest, so he would go friday. Who else would pitch? Gallaghar Saturday & marshall sunday?

whitesoxbrian
Burres misses the start, Albers gets hurt 5 hitters in, so it's now 4-0 Cubs in the 1st. Edited June 26, 2008 by whitesoxbrian

whitesoxbrian
Make that 8-0. Pujols is 4-4 in his 1st game back including the go-ahead RBI in the 9th- only for Detroit to tie it up and send it to the 10th.
The Critic
11-0 now. ....but remember, they looked bad heading into last weekend.... They're a different team on the road, though. I wonder who they'll DH this weekend. Maybe use Soto a day or two as DH to give him a break from the crouching?
