lukeman89
it seems when ever edmonds makes a good catch he takes a bad angle on it. cmon people, i hate edmonds too but it was a good catch. he had to go up that f***ing retarded hill and catch it over his shoulder. the ball is hit directly behind him, its impossible to take a direct angle on that ball and be able to find it when looking over your shoulder. so what did he do? he angled himself away from the ball by a step or two so he could find it when he looked over his shoulder, and then adjusted to catch the ball. witesoxfan
The Astros lineup is so messed up...Bourn should be hitting 8th at this point in time and why in blue f*** was Hunter Pence hitting behind Geoff Blum?

Because as we know, Geoff Blum in Houston= $$$$$$$$$$$$ And it was true again tonight, walks to load the bases and set up the Pence grand slam. YASNY
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 19, 2008 -> 10:17 PM) It wasn't a great catch, it was a TERRIBLE angle and bad midjudgement of the ball turned into a semi over the shoulder (although not really was it even a full over the shoulder) catch. I give him no credit for that, he made the catch hard himself. Also, the people who say the NL is resurgent don't watch the games. They may have a lot of the top statistical guys offensively, but that's because the pitching in that league is AWFUL. The Cubs lineup is very good, but they never seem to see good starting pitching more than once a week. Just because the AL has a lot more good pitching and the NL a lot more good hitting doesn't mean the AL is down, it just means games are being played differently. Consider this scenario. He was aware he was coming up on the hill. Instead of running toward the hill and possibly having it throw him off, he turned to a somewhat parellel route to make sure he caught the ball before he hit the hill. He's been in NL for quite a while and playing with the Cards, he should be more than familiar with the hill. He's a smart veteran ballplayer. I think that's exactly what happened on that play. SoxFan1
So I was forced to watch a few innings of the Cubs/Pirates game tonight at my Grandparents house, and my god are the Pirates terrible. No wonder the Cubs are in 1st place. The NL blows.
Swingandalongonetoleft
It'll be a bad time to be a Sox fan if the Pirates manage anything against us. Even the most passive Cubs fans I know are fully aware of the fact that Pittsburgh is an awful baseball team.

fathom
Worst managerial move I've ever seen....Pirates let Fukudome bat with a runner on 2nd and 1 out. They had a tough lefty up in the pen. Instead, they let Fukudome face Yates, and of course, he singles up the middle. Go f*** yourself Pirates!
