fathom
Eckstein boots a routine grounder, and ends up leading to 4 runs for the Cubs against Halladay. I don't understand how official scorers don't give errors on routine plays anymore. RockRaines
What is with that Gay glove dance Dempster does from the windup, its girls-softball like. And since when does he throw 95?

And since when does he throw 95? Dempster's batting average against is ridiculous this season. He has been one of the top 10 pitchers in all of baseball this season, and he's shown no signs of slowing down. If anything, his stuff is getting better. whitesoxfan101
A three and a half hour or so regular season game that was only a 3-2 final? How bizarre, must have been a lot of long at bats, pitching changes, and men left on base I guess. At least the blue b****es lost though, a perfect day in Chicago is always nice, can't get enough Chicago victories. He has been one of the top 10 pitchers in all of baseball this season, and he's shown no signs of slowing down. If anything, his stuff is getting better. Dempster was due back on the ground about 2 weeks ago. Every time he kisses mid-high 90's on the gun and shuts a lineup down, I get a teensy bit more suspicious of him. Just kicking this around, but... -100 years since the team won, attention team is recieving is at a fever pitch even compared to ridiculous coverage it usually gets. -You're converted back to a starter from a putz of a closer. Find success/help your team finally get there and you will become a god to millions of Cubs fans. -Contract situation. Last I heard he was locked up through 2008. This is 2008. Just Saying Where was his dominance when he was a closer? Its VERY suspicious. He's gained MPH on his fastball, which has now made his breaking stuff better. He hasnt shown ANY fatigue from increasing his workload. Its very strange. Although there are about 5 players on that cubs team that are playing extremely over their heads talent wise, and what their historic production has been. whitesoxfan101
Zambrano has a 5.68 ERA with 13 strikeouts, 12 walks, and 33 hits allowed in 25 and 1/3 innings in his 4 starts since Lou kept him out there for 130 pitches against the Dodgers. And now he has shoulder soreness and had to leave prematurely tonight. I don't believe in coincidences, so this could be a problem for them, just as I think Marmol's overuse could be one in due time. Gotta lose the battle to win the war sometimes, Lou. Edited June 19, 2008 by whitesoxfan101
