A sneak peek at the upcoming Brewers versus Cubs at Miller Park.

CC Sabathia versus Ted Lilly

Ben Sheets versus Zambrano

Parra versus Dempster

Bush versus Harden

Split, IMO. CC over Lilly and Parra over Dempster.

Tony Clark!! Reading some posts at NSBB.com, its so funny how similar they react to us. Chicago baseball fans seem to overreact more than any other sports fan. But their posts are so identical to ours it's scary. Can't wait till the Brew Crew tie them up after tonight.

We don't use the term "soapdropping" (and improperly at that) after every negative thing that happens to our team. That makes us better in my book by eleventy times.

What CC is doing to the NL makes me proud in a way that we had to deal with him for years. For him to leave the division and join the NLC of all other divisions, it's just a shame Johan didn't sign with the Reds at this point. Here's hoping the Crew make him an offer he can't refuse after outright winning the NLC.

Its funny how a fan base that is generally characterized as being a bit gay uses the term soapdropping so liberally.

What is so funny about it?? I did not hear it.

Well of course Ronny Ranto did his call where he starts screaming incoherent BS in the background, and after the byte was done, Kurkjian, Golic, and Greenberg all laughed for a good 3-6 seconds.

kind of like the hawkgasm after the quentin homerfun??

Hawk after Q's HR- "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRDDD EEEEEEEEEEYESSSSSS!!"

Santo after Reed's HR- "UJGBSJHSWHFBWHFQDMMXKLALAOIEWYPQKIENFMDOIKSDHD"

Big difference.

Yeah, there's no comparing Hawk's most outrageous displays to even the more tame Santo. Hawk shouts words. Santo is like a pint of something strong mixed with a splash (ok, 3 splashes) of Johnny Red Kerr+being out in the sun all day+ the dementia that comes with old age. I'd sit here and rip that act apart, but I've grown to appreciate, even enjoy it. You don't need the guy to say anything smart with Hughes sitting next to him, and I'd rather have a homer calling my games (if I were a cub fan) than someone hired from across the country with no Chicago roots. I enjoy them, but Farmer/anyone in the world maybe even an animal own their s***.

Way to blow your cover.

Well that was stupid of me. Obviously I meant 'they'. And trust me when I tell you, I am as far from a Cub fan as there is. I do hate them and enjoy rooting against them.

My life was a living hell for most of October 2003. Being in the northern burbs I'm a definite minority among friends and co-workers. Hopefull Milwaukee and St. Louis catch the Cub so they won't even get the WC.

Haha, Steroiderosa looked like an idiot diving after catching that ball.

That was straight out of the Jim Edmonds school of unnecessarily diving for a ball making a catch look more difficult than it really was.

Brawl in the cubs minor league game tonight...I think Peoria vs Dayton...17 ejections, which were reversed to finish the game.

Coaches were arguing, guy comes out of nowhere and fires the ball into the opposing dugout - well i should say tried to - misses, hits a fan who goes to the hospital, chaos ensues.

SC had some of the 'highlights'
