soxfan4life50
I was sitting in class bored as f*** watching the Phils and the Mets game the other day. I started watching the game in like the 7th or 8th or something and the phillies were up to bat. Chase Utley was at the dish and i saw the little graphic of what he had done that day. He was 0-0 being hit by a pitch 3 times, tying the record. That was no so much a bad record then it is a painful one but it got me thinking about all of the rediclious records that are kept track of and i was wondering what you guys think is the worst. This is just me being really bored in class. Thank god that i have MLB.TV but as of right now there are no games on haha let me know what you guys think

Buehrle>Wood
Biggio became the all time leader in HBP a couple years back. I believe is SI who had a countdown on whether he would get to 300 HBP or 3,000 hits first.

Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (RME JICO @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 02:21 AM) Longest time between World Series victories. It was worth the wait.
RME JICO
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 06:22 PM) It was worth the wait. The Chicago Cubs hold the record for the longest World Series drought (still active heading into 2008), with their last title coming in 1908 (99 years). In fact, they also hold the longest drought without a World Series appearance, having not won the NL pennant since 1945. Even had they won the 1945 World Series, they would still hold the longest World Series championship drought, the second longest being since 1948 by the Cleveland Indians. Buehrle>Wood
Oh, OK. But you actually have to win again before have a streak going in "between" titles.

Felix
Most minor league hits, because it'd mean I spent most of my time in the minors. Oh, and I agree, Favre sucks.
witesoxfan
actually I thought one...how about lowest IP per appearance? Kelly Wunsch has to be near the top of that list with his 2/3 (technically 0.686) of an inning average per appearance over 258 games in his entire career. Or Mike Myers...less than 2/3 of an inning per appearance (.613) Edited April 12, 2008 by witesoxfan
SoxAce
Most career K's as a hitter, I would personally hate to have. Now if this is meant towards any sport(s) then I'll say one that deals with any sport played.. Most career DL appearances. Balta1701
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) Most career K's as a hitter, I would personally hate to have. Now if this is meant towards any sport(s) then I'll say one that deals with any sport played.. Reggie Jackson 2,597 1 Sammy Sosa 2,306 2 Jim Thome 2,043 3 Andres Galarraga 2,003 4 Jose Canseco 1,942 5 Career strikeout leaders. I'd hate to be number 2 on that list. But the thing is...for you to have the most career strikeouts, you have to have a boatload of at bats, which means some team wants you having a boatload of at bats. If Sosa plays for another 3-4 years, he'll demolish the record. That record has Dunn's name written all over it though but, like Thome, also takes a s***load of BB's.
