scenario
I don't know where this thread belongs, but the video is hilarious and worth watching. "STOLEN-BASE CHALLENGE | In 2007, White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski threw out only 16 percent of attempted base stealers. How many times will he throw out a 39-year-old sportswriter?" Article Link The video is 10 minutes long, but it's worth it. Cowley is miked up and attempting to steal against AJ... and you get to see and hear the entire thing as he tries it 10 times. I laughed through most of it. Edited April 17, 2008 by knightni
Leonard Zelig
Good clip, let's get Pratt up there against Floyd next.
StrangeSox
Good stuff. I think Cowley might have a step on Konerko and Thome, though.
southsideirish71
The shorts and the knee socks are a good look for him.
Linnwood
''What would that entail?'' I asked. ''Pain,'' replied Torborg
iamshack
I think it would have been a lot more fair with a batter swinging at the pitches and missing, and a guy like Jose or Gavin delivering the pitches.....the problem isn't AJ, it's those two...(among others). southsideirish71
QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 11:59 AM) I think it would have been a lot more fair with a batter swinging at the pitches and missing, and a guy like Jose or Gavin delivering the pitches.....the problem isn't AJ, it's those two...(among others). There are a lot of factors. We have a lot of opponents who realize that a lot of our pitchers don't throw over, and they run on first move. The other is some long strides to the plate. There is no attempt to keep the runner honest, or mix up their own timing mechanism as they stride to the plate.
chimpy2121
AJ: "Can you go 7 more?" Haha, that was enjoyable. It also says part 1 so it leads me to believe there will be more Joe, meet Pro stuff from Cowley.
