Chisoxfn Posted July 6, 2003 Share Posted July 6, 2003 I wouldn't be giving up a whole lot for him. His ERA could be lower, but I like the low batting average against. Nice pickup, but I fear they'd be asking for way too much. Sox would be better going for someone on the Marlins or another team that they could keep long-term if they were going after it. Chisoxfn Posted July 6, 2003 Share Posted July 6, 2003 I think a Ponson/Lightenberg package with Carlos Lee and maybe even Arnie Munoz or Matt Ginter would be enough and I think that would put the Sox over the top. I'm willing to chance on Konerko getting a little more playing time cause I Think he'll get through this thing. Plus, he still wouldn't be needed to start all the time as we would use Daubbie in left/dh with Everett playing the other and I'm very happy with Rowand/Harris in center.
