StrangeSox
QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 02:26 PM) Considering its an elective foreign language I see no harm in using it as a tool to help the students learn. However, if it was something like a school trying to make it be recited in both languages to appease bilingual students thats another story. I have no problem with asking students to do it, but I'm pretty sure its been ruled unconstitutional to require them to do so.

Interesting. If there was a group of people who wanted to pledge allegiance to this country, you would say no if they wanted to do it in another language? If English was the official language--how wold schools for the deaf get funding to teach ASL? Also, what would happen to the efforts to conserve the native american languages?
