So we swap minor leaguers, eh? ;)

I like Jimenez and think he's got the ability to be a very good ML player. The only thing that'll stop that from happening lives between D'Angelo's ears.

That said, I'm happy he's gone and very happy Roberto is here.

On a side note...the True Value Hardware $100,000 contest (predicting which Sox player will hit for the cycle)...the person picked Magglio, and he's got a triple and HR in his first 2 AB, and we're only in the 3rd inning. :o

I like the deal.

Will he be sent to the Barons, Rex?

I'd say either here or to Charlotte. May depend on who the Rangers are going to take. Birmingham has a 3-day all-star break starting tomorrow, so we may not hear until Thursday.

I'd think it would be a better fit for the Barons, but I'm not a minor league expert.

for Scott Dunn, pitcher for AA Chatanooga.

Not that bad of numbers:

40 1/3 IP 31 H 16 BB 54 SO 3.79 ERA 8 SV

Where did you find this Cerb?

This guy looks pretty good.

I got a report going up on SoxNet as we speak.

Trying to find out what he throws. Judging by his k numbers I'm guessing he's got a great arm.

I'd say he's replacing Royce Ring.

A little info...

Scott Dunn -- RHP -- Spot Starter: Dunn is the consummate power pitcher, and how he deals with his control issues will dictate whether or not he fulfills his potential.

Dunn went 12-5 between Class A and AA last season, but he also ranked second behind former Cardinals farmhand turned Dallas Cowboy quarterback Chad Hutchinson with 102 walks. He led the Class AA Southern League with 71 walks, despite spending just over half the season in that league. Dunn's combined 3.36 ERA ranked fifth in the organization, and his 160 strikeouts in 158 innings led all Red farmhands.

The 6-3, 180-pound University of Texas product has a power arm and a good knuckle-curve. According to Reds farm director Tim Naehring, Dunn has a tendency overthrow and pitched up in the zone far too often. He allowed 12 home runs last season

Gracious...ya, he can hit the mid 90's and has some potential.

Not rated by BA, probably cause he's a little older. In the past he was used as a starter/reliever (Ala SpotStarter).

Really good numbers...mainly the Opponents batting average.
