This was an interesting read regarding the tax holiday...

The gas tax holiday is worthless, but it is by far not the worst proposal coming out of this election cycle. That goes to all of the mortgage rescue plans that would turn us into 1990's Japan.

Obama picked up 2 Superdelegates today, including one I've campaigned for in the past. Clinton picked up 1.

Per Time's Mark Halperin Obama picked up 3 today and Clinton picked up 2.

"The day" wasn't over yet.

The good news is...they're at least starting to endorse. There's been a trickle of what seems like a couple a day since PA. They don't need to go overwhelmingly for Obama to end this, they just need to get off the sidelines by the end of May. If all that happens is he splits those, but they just get off the sidelines, the race ends then.

Just got this e-mail...

Jason --

Thanks to you, we're putting a new ad on the air in Indiana and North Carolina responding to Senator Clinton's attacks ahead of next Tuesday's primary.

It's only possible because of the outpouring of support we received from supporters like you before tonight's financial reporting deadline.

The topic is a pressing issue in the race right now: how to solve the energy crisis and get gas prices under control.

The ad shows Barack at his best, cutting through the Washington gimmicks and talking about real solutions.

I hope you take a look now:

So, here is the weird thing. For me, I was happy with the Philly speech - I think this is a more purely political move, and it bothers me. On the other hand, its probably what will get him more votes, so he's doing it.

You may be right but I will say that I personally respect him more for finally doing this. My initial problem was with Wright and I think he finally did the right thing. Wright is a hate monger and has an agenda and he didnt even care if he hurt the man who defended him even after he almost hurt his campaign.

Joe Andrew, superdelegate and former party chair under Bill Clinton, switches allegiance from Clinton to Obama. Encourages other Dems to “heal the rift in our party” and follow suit.

“I am convinced that the primary process has devolved to the point that it’s now bad for the Democratic Party.”

News conference planned for Thursday in Indianapolis to urge other Hoosiers to support Obama in Tuesday’s primary.

You know, I thought people would be gullible for this gas tax holiday but talking to numerous people, it turns out many understand why gas isn't going down and know this tax holiday is garbage town.

And it also happens to be stupid policy...which coming from a person who's strength is supposed to be her policy smarts, is sort of contradictory.

I do love this sentence though... because it's so true.

A former leader of the Democratic Party who last year endorsed Hillary Clinton with lavish praise has switched to Barack Obama — and now predicts that the Clinton "attack dogs" will be after him.

Why isnt Obama in favor of a gas tax holiday when he supported it in 2000? Simple, the facts are it doesnt work!

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/ar...iday-gas-taxes/

In 2000, he voted in favor of a dropping Illinois' gas tax from 6.25 to 1.25 for 6 months. The bill passed 50-0. Six months later, he voted against making it permanent. Why? He said statistics suggested that "the elimination of the tax has not been passed on to the consumer." The Obama campaign says that's a key reason why he opposes McCain's plan.
