Rex Kickass
Jason, Thanks for your donation! It's hard to believe the ride is less than two months away now, and I still feel so unprepared. My weekly mileage is now in the hundreds and my "short" bike rides are now approaching 20 miles each. This is still such an intimidating thing. My goal is just to finish this. And to raise more money. You can help with that last part.

Rex Kickass
So I took the plunge and got a new bike for the tour. I am totally an aerodynamic fattie on this ride. Still looking for donations too. I just need another 85 friends to support me with a $30 donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together we can end HIV/AIDS in our lifetime. Can you help? Rex Kickass
I celebrated Independence Day with a 50 mile bike ride. It was a lot of fun, except for the part where I almost threw up 45 miles in. On the whole though, my training is going pretty well. This Thursday, I'm planning a 60 mile bike ride. Not only is getting ready for the ride helping me raise cash to help fight HIV/AIDS. It's also giving me some kind of good definition on my legs! Regardless, I'm still looking to raise money for the ride. Looking for $30 donations per friend, however if you can do more or less, it's still greatly appreciated. Click here to donate securely And thanks! Rex Kickass
NSS: Thanks for your donation! It's do or die week for me, fundraising wise. In order to know that I have a viable shot at getting near my $3500 donation requirement, I need to raise $500 this week. With help from people like NorthSideSox and a few others, I'm off to a great start, having raised $185 so far. If you can help, I'd really appreciate it. The link to click and donate securely is right here.

Rex Kickass
Thanks to another generous friend, I'm up to $215 for the week, which is bringing me less than $300 from my week's goal of $500 to raise. Your help is so important, both to my ride and to fighting HIV/AIDS. Any help you can provide would be great! http://ESAR6.kintera.org/RexKickass
Rex Kickass
This is my 10,000th post on SoxTalk. I thought I would explain something special to me for this post. It's why I'm doing the Empire State AIDS Ride this summer. Last summer, me and another friend both had HIV scares. My friend, let's call him John, had gotten sick with what he thought was Mono. His doctor also ran an HIV test, just to be sure. He tested positive. It turns out that his former partner was having unsafe sex with other men at the time they were dating, and passed it along to John. I'm doing this ride for him. Shortly after his test, I had a scare myself. I lucked out, and I tested negative. But it was the scariest week of my life, waiting for those test results. I decided that I would do something to make a difference when it comes to dealing with this disease. So, I decided to ride the Empire State AIDS Ride. I know that a lot of people can be helped with the money that I'm raising. Including, hopefully, my friend John. So this is why I'm doing the ride. And I hope you can support me with a donation. Click securely at the link on my signature to donate anything you can to help fight HIV/AIDS together. And thanks.
