joejoesox
danks looks fantastic once again. if you notice, his changeup is amazing, you cannot tell by his delivery WHAT pitch it is, it looks like it could be anything out of his hand
joejoesox
lol uribe. edit: lol, makes contact! pulls a pitch wayyyyyyyyyyy outside, to the 3rd baseman baseball acumen at it's finest. Edited April 26, 2008 by joesaiditstrue

fathom
Haha, Uribe couldn't have tried harder to pull that pitch. I really can't believe we didn't let him go when the Dodgers claimed him.

Frankensteiner
Nick Swisher needs to start hitting, and hitting for some power. It's like Luis Castillo minus the speed.

rafacosta
Honestly, you can't expect Uribe to do PK and Thome's jobs. It is pretty bad to be depending on Uribe...

fathom
I just realized something....if you are a Sox fan in your 70s or 80s, Hawk would be the perfect announcer for you. Every story deals with players from 30 years ago. If you want to talk about players who would have put up bigger numbers if they were at different ball parks, why not talk about Barry Bonds or Jeff Kent, etc? Frankensteiner
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 11:45 AM) His timing is so off. We faced so many wild pitchers during the first few weeks, and he became too patient. I think he will hit for a decent average so I'm not worried about that. But I hope the move to leadoff didn't mess with his approach as I would really like to see him hit for some power. I'm not saying "lift & pull" but he had a lot of doubles last season so he's probably been hitting some line drives. Plus I hope the guy's not shrinking.
