joejoesox
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 07:59 PM) Young's dangerous, but Mauer isn't? Mauer won't score runs by himself, he'll drizzle you with singles and doubles (and rarely, triples), but it's Morneau and Young IMO that are their most dangerous hitters

Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) I know he is a hall of famer and all that other bulls***, but why can't he at least try to beat the shift and go oppo. Ted Williams was never above choking up and going the other way. So why the hell can't Thome? I agree. It wouldn't kill him once in a while especially if he is struggling. Wanne
QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) What are they saying? Just being very complimentary of him. Defending him that he's had NO CHANCE throwing anybody out stealing and how well he's handled the young guys like Danks and Floyd and attributed some of their success to him being behind the plate. Also just talked about how when he first came up wasn't a very good hitter initially and has turned himself into a very good major league hitter....
