NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:06 PM) I dont' think you act like a tough guy with a bum ankle...you can either support yourself or not. A guy who just got called up from AAA, he's pretty motivated to perform. No matter, he made a good pitch, bunt got down, now Logan coming in. Soxpranos
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Well at least the Angels have a crappy player on the field once every 5 days. Cabrera is out there every day for us. Angels win that trade. When that trade was first made it made no sense to me.
Controlled Chaos
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:07 PM) Absolutely not. He must have naked pictures of official scorers, as he could easily have 5 or 6 errors this season. He's has some costly misplays as well. Name me one thing he does on D that's above average? I'm hoping we haven't seen it yet.
Brian
QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:08 PM) It's easier to steal 3rd. Not with two lefties up.

NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:07 PM) Absolutely not. He must have naked pictures of official scorers, as he could easily have 5 or 6 errors this season. He's has some costly misplays as well. Name me one thing he does on D that's above average? He has very good outside range into the outfield, he's got good balance on tough throws, he's OK with normal ball handling, he can turn a double play well. His arm is a bit weak, and his range horizontally is less than stellar. He handles short-hit balls well though.

bullpenHeat
QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:07 PM) Gomez is gonna be a stud in this league. He is hardly a flea type player. But I dont mean just him. Joey Gathright, Brendan Harris, etc. all these 170lb. light hitting, quick feet guys murder the White Sox.

Harry Chappas
One of Moreanau or Mauer is going to do something that the middle of Sox order is unable to do, come thorugh in the clutch.

SoxFan562004
Are they pitching around Mauer here? Boone has walked 2 in 10 innings and it doesn't seem like he's anywhere near the zone

fathom
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) He has very good outside range into the outfield, he's got good balance on tough throws, he's OK with normal ball handling, he can turn a double play well. His arm is a bit weak, and his range horizontally is less than stellar. He handles short-hit balls well though. I thought he's been terrible on the slow hit ball. Not only does his weak arm make the plays more difficult, but he's had a few plays where he double pumped or flat out missed the ball.

Y2HH
QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:09 PM) excuse me? As a former leadoff hitter myself and base stealer, I can verify it *is* easier to steal 3rd...it's just something modern day players don't do well. You have a better view of the catcher, the pitcher has a harder time looking at you and making a quick pickoff move, giving you a larger lead off, and if the catcher sets up inside against a righty, it eases it even more.
