lostfan
QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 3, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Ah ok, so if that error isn't made, the Jays don't DIRECTLY score the 3 runs that provided the difference then? No one is saying that everything else didnt suck, the hitting overall, etc. But that one play by Mr. Gold Glove himself DIRECTLY led to 3 runs, the difference in the game. Pretty clear. The fact that it seems like such a reach for us to score 3 runs in that game (it was 2 runs, not 3) is the real problem. If Joe Crede doesn't make that error, after 9 innings there's a good chance the score is still 0-0 assuming Mark gets through the 2nd inning unscathed. So to blast Joe Crede for that is extreme. elrockinMT
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 3, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) Sure because the corpseball kids will have the best thing for their bats to get going, a good dose of Doc Halladay. We might just do better when they have to hunker down and strap it on or whatever
fathom
I guess those reports during ST that Crede was now mediocre on defense were accurate.

GreatScott82
So Crede's errors cost the Sox both games... not that they were going to win these games anyway, since the offense is brutal, but this is not a good way to start May off. Hopefully Dye found his swing again... If I were Ozzie i would start considering a major lineup adjustment. For example: Swisher (no one else is really an option) Cabrera Dye (It looks like he has his timing back) Thome (May be better suited behind Dye) Quentin (Call me crazy, but how can you not put him up in the lineup the way he has been hitting!) Konerko (Paulie bat 6th, am i crazy!! Umm have you seen his average, moving him down does him and everyone else good) Pierzynski (He scuffling right now.. so he can stay here) Crede (He still swinging a good stick, so its good to have balance at the bottom of the order) Uribe (The easy out should hit where the pitcher does in the NL!) Ozzie has to do something... NOT sit on his hands like he did 2007.
elrockinMT
QUOTE (Soxpranos @ May 3, 2008 -> 07:53 PM) Ozzie just said it, all those guys dont need coaching, they need to start hitting. Right on. A few well timed hits can bring this team around. Nothing like a grand slam at the right time to start us on a winning streak. You always hear that hitting is contagious, well I would like to see this group of hitters coe down with the flu, or at least a cough.

whitesoxmanager
Ozzie just said it, all those guys dont need coaching, they need to start hitting. ozzie couldnt do backflips on the field. no? so why do we think he could manage? dont need coaching? is he drunk? and yes i wish he were. it would take a coach to bench the idiots for not hitting. bring in guys to shake it up. if they were tough they would respond. if they were wimps....well then. THANK GOD FOR BIG BROWN. i wonder if that f'in horse could s*** further than JT could hit. DUDE. and yes i am nuts over peanuts over here wondering if i gotta take another early look at the bears and that stupid qback bozo team in july again. I don't care if AJP leads off...as long as it's not Swisher.
Capn12
I wish we had old time backyard football rules when it comes to Juan Uribe...He could be our "All Time Defense" so he never had to hit, that would be ideal. Carlos Quentin is the reason I'm watching our team right now, and the starting pitching. Those 2 things are about the only reasons to watch this trainwreck until someone wakes the offense from their extended slumber.
southsideirish71
I forgot what a jackass PFB is.
