GoSox05
QUOTE (G&T @ May 8, 2008 -> 01:58 PM) What is Walker's hitting philosophy? And don't just say "lift and pull." I mean, we all know what Coop's pitching philosophy is and what he preaches and it filters down the organization. He says it all the time. But has Walker ever said anything about his keys to hitting or what the approach should be? He's big on solo home runs when down by lots of runs. The idea that I thought was that he let's guys decide how they want to approach hitting and then works with them as the back of their baseball card tells you what you need to know. I am not certain he actually works on a philosophy. Ramirez nice play, good job Danks too bad your going to be f***ed any time now by the "offense". Its clear your hips open, dip the back shoulder to elevate and play to the park effect. Swing hard in any count, and dont cut down on your swing at all. My guess would be his philosophy is get into a hitters count and lay on the hitters pitch. They always are agressive on 3-1, 2-0, 2-1, etc. Like if a pitcher goes 3-0 and he throws a complete get me over to get to 3-1, it seems they are hacking at everything thrown up there. Unfortunately the scouts picked up on this and exploit it just my guess, I have zero idea what Walker's philosophy actually is

Harry Chappas
Quintin with a sad little roller to third on the second pitch. Walker has gotten to him finally. Here comes the "meat" of the order. Thome making sure that shift is always working. Farmio and Stone really making sure we the listener know why Thome is sucking right now. Stone ripping on this team right now about the stupidity of the team and Konerko validates him nicely with a little looper to left to help Cuddyer get off the field first. Walker needs to be fired based on what Stone is saying. Edited May 8, 2008 by Jenks Heat

I hate the idea of Quentin in the 2nd spot. He should be batting 4th or 5th, because at least there's a slight chance Thome or Dye or AJP might get on. I really want AJP in the 2nd or 3rd spot. fathom
QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ May 8, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) WHERE THE f*** IS BRIAN ANDERSON? He's no Jerry Owens defensively, so why does it matter? Sad this is this is the perfect pitcher for him. However, Ozzie will probably play him next time we face a slider specialist starter.
