fathom
Terrible throw by Quentin. I thought he had a chance to get Quinlan at home.

greg775
Mark knows better than to walk the leadoff hitter especially on the road.
fathom
Nice range by PK...not! I'm not sure why he's holding on Anderson so much. Big batter here for Buehrle.
greg775
If Matthews gets a hit, keep all bats out of Mark's reach on the bench.
fathom
Another 2 strike hit allowed by Buehrle. Without a decent changeup, he's a below average pitcher. Edited May 13, 2008 by fathom

Capn12
Get a lead, and give most of it back...I'm not particularly fond of the 2008 version of Mark Buehrle

southsideirish71
Well he is leaving the ball up. check Missing his spots, check. And pitching away from contact, check. If he lasts past 5 without giving up 5 to 7 runs I will be shocked.
Harry Chappas
LA is making Buerhle work. The Sox are swinging way to early in the count. No pitch recognition.

greg775
It would be nice to see Thome and Konerko start resembling the Thome and Konerkos of their prime.
fathom
QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ May 13, 2008 -> 03:43 AM) Didn't think Carlos hit the ball that far, he just kinda lunged at it. He does a great job of getting the fat part of the bat on the ball. He's the opposite of a guy like Orlando Cabrera.

greg775
We have a good looking lineup on paper, but not so much in reality.
southsideirish71
This extended slump s*** with Konerko is beyond old. How many hitters shut down and look worthless for 2 to 3 months at a time like this guy. Move him and Thome down, and move Dye up.

greg775
He probably should if the thumb is a problem. Too bad Fields is hurt. Konerko could rest the thumb a month or so.

fathom
QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 13, 2008 -> 02:48 AM) Kong needs to go to the DL if his thumb is bugging him.... He needs to go back to the mini leg kick he used a few years ago. He's too upright at the plate now, and that's causing all the chopper and weak pop ups. Go back and watch the slam in the WS...he used a different loading mechanism.
fathom
Great inning for Buehrle. Hopefully Dye and AJP (our 2nd and 3rd best hitters) can get us going.

I know he has changed his loading mechanism dozens of times since then....but Hawk said something last game about PK's thumb still bothering him...if its effecting him this much then they should DH or sit him a few games.
