Lord of the flies and original sin

Are humans naturally good or naturally evil?

1good---------------------------10bad

Humans are “naturally”

In lord of the flies, the author tells a story about a group of 14-year-olds whom crash on a deserted island. They then do not have the constraints of their previous society and form new constraints. This time they end up doing many things that are conventually viewed as wrong. One could say that this in fact proves that humans are inherently bad because there was the “capability” and “capacity” to do evil. The bible also refers to this idea when man is said to have original sin. The people who wrote “the word of God” came to the conclusion and conception that people are naturally bad. I do not know the exact reasons as to why they came to such conclusions yet I would assume that it had something to do with the current conditions of their society. Even Jesus Christ noticed that people were evil. He was there to spend time with the people who were in fact sick. He wanted to heal them by showing them God. Jesus believed that people have the capacity to be good.

In both the lord of the files and religious texts, examples at first look it might appear that this is a warrant for the side of a bad nature of man. However, when these examples are looked at under a closer light they show themselves closer to the side of an empty nature. If an infant is born, the first infant ever…. And all that is in exanstance is grass… then the infant will then be IS grass because it is what he knows.

Replace the word grass with good or bad…..

and I think you will see what I am trying to communicate….

Humans are naturally nothing… they are nothing but a vast capacity…. The world they are born into… the experiences they see and the care they receive and guidance they receive will then determine what their nature will be in moments that have yet to exist."
