Kobe Bryant arrested

He was in a hotel room with a woman other then his wife. Don't have to be convicted of anything to divorce his sorry ass.

He's a moron.

You know nothing yet. As usual, youre letting your uncontrolled emotions, control your words.

Sorry Bmr... but arrest warrants don't get issued for no reason. The woman knew the resort he was staying at. And the doorman recognized her. She was obviously there with him. Guilty of adultry is more then enough to say adios. Don't even care about the rape charges. If he hurt her, he'll get his. Cheating is unexcusable.

If its all true, I agree. This wouldnt be the first time one human being tried to blackmail another.....if he is found guilty, punish him to the full extent.

How is she trying to blackmail him..?

imo Kobe deserves the benefit of the doubt here. We're talking one of the most dominating players in the game who is a role model for others. He doesnt have the reputation of Iverson and stays out of trouble. There are tons of girls out there lookin for money and goes to extremes when they dont get their ways. Hope this will clear up and he is proven innocent.

Look, im trying to think of this logically. Im thinking about WHAT IF i was Kobe...........and knowing how some women are, i hardly think Kobe would have to sexually assault anyone. I hope, for his sake, that I am correct.

Ever hear of settlements out of court? She's obviously hoping Kobe will give her a settlement of $25K or more to drop the charges and get his name out of the news. It's extremely unlikely that Kobe is guilty of any wrongdoing, and hopefully his name will be cleared and this b**** gets hers.

THis s*** is very similar to what i just went through. I did nothing wrong, but im willing to bet anything that my ex gf got something out of this s***. She threatened to tell for months, so its blackmail. I hope Kobe gives her NOTHING. If he really did this, I hope he goes to jail.

Good point, Kobe can just basically walk into any bar or club and he could have any chick he wants. I find it hard to believe that he will have to sexually assault someone just to get some.

The only thing i can think of is he was into something kinky, she was a hooker, and he figured s*** shes getting paid for it, so he tried it. Other than that youre right, they guy can get a chic at any time.

Yeah.. I've heard of them. But has it come to light she's traveling this route? Nope. If she were.. she would have gone to him first with the threat, IMO. Seems I'm not the only one "jumping the gun" and "assuming", eh?

Difference being at this point I don't care about the rape charge. That's for the courts to figure out. And the damage is done. $25K to get his name out of the papers.. I'm guessing he would have paid way more then that to have it not have been there in the first place. And you hope the "b**** gets hers"... another brilliant ASSumption. I suppose if it turns out he did this you'll recant this statement? Bmr.. where's your statement chastising clu for allowing his "emotions" to make comments..? Hypocrite.

And for the record.. he has not been charged of anything as of yet.

"Contrary to the direct instruction of the district attorney's office, the Eagle County sheriff's office sought and obtained an arrest warrant ... this action illustrates the complete bias of the sheriff's office," said Denver attorney Pamela Mackey in a statement released earlier Monday.

They may not even press charges at all. The police went and issued a warrant before the DA even knew if he had anything. "Hurlbert said he was aware of the case, but didn't know why authorities didn't request a warrant through his office."

This whole thing reeks of bulls***.

The incident supposedly happened on June 30, and one of the newspapers in Denver was reportedly tipped off on the morning of July 1, suspiciously soon after. A warrant wasn't even issued until July 3rd/4th, and he was told about it beforehand so he could come and turn himself in. The bigger media outlets picked up the story around July 5th/6th, after the police finally reported it.

"But Eagle County sheriff’s investigators didn’t reveal his arrest until two days later, when he already was released on bail.

'There wasn’t any urgency. We felt we were doing the right thing for everyone involved,' Eagle County Sheriff Joe Hoy said. 'We wanted to give people the time to themselves to adjust' because of the July 4 holiday."

That is a bulls*** quote from the Sheriff; what they were doing was trying to give themselves time to find something so they didn't look like idiots when they had no proof for arresting him. They still haven't pressed charges, they still say they don't know if they're going to, even after nine days of investigation they have found nothing.

"It's amateur hour," Denver-based defense attorney Larry Pozner said. "If there is a sense a citizen may take flight, then you rush ahead. But there's nowhere for Kobe to go.

"The prudent thing to do is find the facts and then do the case. If there is no fileable case, the actions of the sheriff do irreparable harm to the reputation."

Of course, Kobe could always come out and admit he did something, but I highly doubt it.
