Brian
QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2008 -> 10:53 PM) Oh boy....looks like a possible DL stint for Uribe if he pulled a hammy/quad. Getz

fathom
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 16, 2008 -> 03:53 AM) I'm rooting more than anyone for OCab to get it going with the bat, but he has such a long, loopy swing. I think a bigger problem is that the ball doesn't jump off of his bat, so even when he hits it well, it's just a 300 foot fly/line out.

Wanne
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 15, 2008 -> 10:51 PM) Uribe has been pretty good since changing his stance. He's walking more this season and has been hitting pretty well the past 2 weeks or so. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just his performance compared to the rest of the offense sans JD and CQ. I think part of the difference with standing up straighter like he is...you just plain see the ball better. When your all crouched over you tend to look too much out of the side of your eye instead of "facing" the pitcher more. That's one thing I always try to teach the young kids is face the release point. Just my 2¢...

SoxFan1
He called that pitch on Cabrera, so you have to give it to Javy there too.

Yep, and on a 3-2 pitch leading off the inning, it's nice to see that consistency.
fathom
Might be time to get someone up in the pen....Javy doesn't have anything on his offspeed pitches (curse of the 6th inning?).

fathom
QUOTE (daa84 @ May 16, 2008 -> 05:03 AM) i missed it...what happened to juan Some type of leg injury. He looked a little banged up after sliding in the 2nd inning, and then pulled up running to first base in the 6th inning. Either a hamstring or quad. Harry Chappas
I bet Ramirez is leading off all weekend. If anyone thinks that Konerko or Thome are bringing more value to this team than Anderson could is not paying attention. His defense alone is valuable and the fact that he plays once every ten days is as good an excuse as any as to why his average is what it is. DL Konerko if he can not swing, jesus
YASNY
Scoscia just sacrificed to put a runner in scoring position with an .091 hitter coming up, and didn't pinch hit. Thank you, Mike.
