Kalapse
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...8&fext=.jsp If voting ended today: C: J. Varitek, Red Sox 1B: K. Youkilis, Red Sox 2B: D. Pedroia, Red Sox 3B: A. Rodriguez, Yankees SS: D. Jeter, Yankees LF: M. Ramirez, Red Sox CF: I. Suzuki, Mariners RF: V. Guerrero, Angels DH: D. Ortiz, Red Sox The way it should look: C: J. Mauer, Twins 1B: K. Youkilis, Red Sox 2B: I. Kinsler, Rangers 3B: M. Cabrera, Tigers (placeholder for ARod who needs to log a few more ABs) SS: M. Young, Rangers (horrible year for AL SS, not a one with an OPS north of .750) LF: C. Quentin, White Sox CF: J. Hamilton, Rangers RF: M. Bradley, Rangers (honorable mention: M. Ordonez, Tigers) DH: H. Matsui, Yankees Just looking over some numbers, this is a horrible year for AL position players, aside from a couple outfielders and maybe 3 infielders it's nothing but garbage. Reddy
the fact that Vlad is up there instead of Hamilton is just sick. i hate fan voting. it's useless.

bjm676
I see that ESPN has been doing a lot of voting this year for the All-Star game.
WilliamTell
The same people are always voted in. Ichiro will always make it, Vlad seems to always make it, if you put up halfway decent numbers with Boston or New York you'll make it.

Ortiz, Red Sox The MLB needs to go to an NFL style voting system where coaches votes count for a certain percent, players vote counts for a certain percent, and fan votes count for a certain percent.
