Any chance the Bulls could get Corey Hart in a deal?

Day late and a dollar short, my friend. ;)

This is from Chad Ford at ESPN

Think you've got the Rose-Beasley debate figured out? One respected NBA general manager who's drafting in the second half of the first round said the Bulls and virtually everyone else is getting it wrong.

"Michael Beasley is far and away the best player in this draft," the GM said. "He's going to dominate in this league. How could you pass on him? I know everyone is talking about character this and character that, but come on, he's not a bad kid."

As for Rose, the GM says he thinks he's overrated: "Derrick Rose is a good player, I get that. But he's not a franchise player. I don't think people are getting with Rose what they think they're getting. He's athletic and plays really hard. But he has just decent court vision and can't take over a game offensively."

When asked about the Heat possibly passing on Beasley at No. 2, the GM said, "It's a joke. He's so much better than anything the Heat are going to get offered. I don't understand it."

I must admit...Rose was 79th in the country in assists for a loaded team that played in a crap conference...not what you would expect from your franchise PG....also Hollinger's PER says Rose is like the 6th best prospect in this draft adn that Beasley is the best prospect to come out of college in the last 6 years....

I'm just pretty worried the Bulls are drafting Rose because of the fact that hes from chicago and because his position, and not for the actual player himself...also i think character is way overblown in talking about beasley...we will see though

I think the big thing is that Beasley is much more of a sure thing than Rose. When it comes to PG's, there are some questions as to just the type of court vision and ability they'll have at driving and creating because it really takes a unique skill-set to do such. No doubt Rose has a great skill-set, but I'm afraid that had it not been for his post-season run where Beasley was out early (his team wasn't near as good) this wouldn't even be a debate.

Beasley is just such a phenomenal scorer.

Well I'll go on record saying that Rose will have much more of an impact than Beasley and I think Beasley is going to be a pretty damn good player. Now if it's true that Miami is thinking about taking Mayo over Beasley, well that's just retarded.

More Chad Ford, claiming that the race between Beasley and Mayo is real, and that the Heat are actively shopping the #2 pick.

If OJ Mayo slips past the T-Wolves, then I really think the Sonics and the Heat might do a deal. The Heat get Mayo and Chris Wilcox, OKC gets Beasley and an expiring contract. The Heat solidify their front line and put themselves in a position to compete next year with a starting 5 of Wade, Mayo, Wilcox, Marion, and Haslem, OKC sets itself up with a front line consisting of Durant, Green, and Beasley.

I would trade #2 and Blount for the #5, Mike Miller, and Mike Conley.

Then trade Marion and the #5 pick to the Clippers for Brand and the #7 pick.

Trade Haslem to the Magic for the #22 and filler.

Draft Brook Lopez at #7, draft best available talent at #22.

PG. Conley, Banks

SG. Wade, Cook

SF. Miller, Wright

PF. Brand, #22 pick

C. Lopez, Mourning

Yes please.

That just made my head hurt. That's a lot of moving around. But if you guys can some how grab Conley and B. Lopez(who I believe is the 3rd best player in this draft) then obviously getting Brand and Miller is pretty freaking good as well, that's a pretty nice haul. Very confusing but very good. :P

Unless the Clippers have recently hired either Tim Hardaway or Alonzo Mourning as their GM, I can't figure out why the Clips would do this deal. They lose the better player to move up 2 spots in the draft here. Maybe if someone like Mayo or Beasley somehow plummeted, or if this was a draft where you saw a big difference between the talent level at pick 5 and 7, but I don't think either is the case.

Both players contracts are expiring after this season.

Brand gives you 20 and 10 on average assuming he's healthy again, Marion has put up 18 and 10 as a 2nd or 3rd option his entire career.

Moving from #7 to #5 will move the Clippers past the Knicks who are looking at many of the same players, specifically guards.

Except last season, where Marion put up 15.4 and 10, and saw his scoring numbers drop more when he moved out of Phoenix.

The Clippers ought to get significantly more than that out of Brand.

I don't think any of the deals have been Conley, Miller and #5 thus far, IIRC it's been either Conley and #5 or Miller, Lowry and #5 (though I think some versions have them not taking Blount). You never know though, this is Chris Wallace we're talking about, and they love to shed money. They might just give you that package if you take Cardinal's awful deal off their hands the way they seem to want to save money.

From ESPN's article, "They could include the No. 5 pick, Mike Miller and the Heat's choice of either Kyle Lowry or Mike Conley." I couldn't believe Conely would be involved, but I'll take it.

As for Marion's scoring numbers, he had Chris Quinn as his PG. Brand didn't exactly tear it up in his short time last year either with 18 ppg and 8 rpg.

Weird, could have sworn that same one said something different...

Still, it depends on which article you believe. There was another one they posted that said it wasn't an either/or with Conley/Lowry and that the package would change, plus if you click on the rumors link on the draft page it says Conley will not be part of the package at all according to the Memphis papers.

Jermaine O'Neal to Toronto?

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...oining_toronto/

O'Neal and Bosh in the frontcourt? That will work.

Its now official

Pacers trade Jermaine Oneal

Raptors trade TJ Ford, Rasho Nesterovic and 17th pick in draft

Nice move for both teams, if Oneal can stay healthy he and Bosh could be real fun to watch side by side.
