He was attempting shots like he had never shot a basket in his life.
Kyyle23
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...0,3374748.story Forced shots returned. On one first-quarter possession, Ben Gordon dribbled almost the entire 24-second shot clock before attempting a fallaway 18-footer that missed badly. Nice to see BG sharing the ball. Should of traded him after the first game when his stock was high. Gordon should never be able to handle the ball.
GoodAsGould
lol you all need to relax, the celtics are the best team in the NBA are very solid defensively as well as offensively and defending champs. We are a team coming off a 49 loss season and starting a rookie pg and a rookie coach, this game was bound to be ugly. Now if we play poorly vs Memphis like today than start to worry. I'd rather see tyrus go 2-17 ( in a game we never had a chance to win) then rot on the bench. The entire team sucked, tyrus just sucked a little more. Stealing from Truehoop: Last year, Scott Skiles pulled Tyrus Thomas almost the instant he got his second foul. He took him out of the rhythm of the game, and the effect was often to diminish his import as a player. The irony, of course, is that at the end of games, Thomas would almost have only three or four fouls ... so what are you protecting him from with that benching? He's not fouling out! Anyway, it's happening again in Milwaukee. As BrewHoop points out, Andrew Bogut got his second foul early and was a non-factor much of the game. Of course, Bogut finished with just four fouls. He's up against Garnett and Perkins. He's going to struggle. Let him struggle!

The Suns are getting old and wearing down and who knows how they'll do after D'Antoni, the Blazers are still really young, have their key guy with injury problems, have a ton more development to do, and didn't even make the playoffs last year. Hornets Lakers Celtics That's right, the Hornets are the best, and it will be proven. It's the James Posey effect. I'd have the Jazz in my top 5 once they get Deron Williams back and probably the Rockets in there, if Artest can control himself. Bulls vs. Magic tonight, should be a decent game. We were terrible 1st 2 games, but got it going against the Kings. I think Rose will dominate Nelson though if that's the matchup.
DBAHO
Oh and there's word that the Pistons and Nuggets are about to make a blockbuster trade. Allen Iverson for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyees. Iverson has an ending contract, and I guess Dumars and Curry are serious about getting Stuckey playing time. Does AI play at PG for Detroit though?

I hope this means Rip shifts to SF, and Stuckey starts at PG, rather than AI playing the point.

Do they go small and move Prince to PF in that scenario though? There's word that McDyees may not even report to the Nugs and will just get waived or bought out. He's exactly the type of backup PF/C the Magic need, but my guess would be he'd just go back to Detroit.

ZoomSlowik
Here's another thought: what do they do in the off-season? This could be the last hurrah for Detroit. AI and 'Sheed are both FA's, and if they want to just start over that's over $30 mil coming off the books. Plus Rip only has one year left as well, so it's possible they can go into the 2010 off-season with a Stuckey/Prince/Johnson/Maxiell core and cap space coming out of their ass for the Lebron/Wade class. nitetrain8601
Well it would be about 34 million coming off the books. It is indeed the last hurrah for the Pistons. They're going to have money to go after presumably Carlos Boozer this year and then be a player for a major FA in 2010, though I don't see them landing one that year. Yep, they'll have the cap space which is why I think it's a pretty good trade for Detroit, albeit a risky one. All I can say is, I'm happy that Orlando may not have to face Chauncey Billups in the post-season again. He always abused Nelson. But I think this trade makes Denver better as well, and it's one that they had to make.
