Kyyle23
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 10:51 AM) Rough loss for the Bulls last night. Had a great opportunity to get another huge victory, but they just couldn't make plays down the stretch and the Spurs left town with a win. Noc had an overall good game, but he cost the Bulls at the end. Two horrendously stupid fouls in the last minute and a turnover when he ran into the lane and jumped and threw the ball away. They were tied or down by 2 when the final minute came and he just put on the dunce cap
daa84
Luol is playing really well today....he's looked pretty good since coming back from injury...hopefully now that he's healthy he'll get it going consistently like he did 2 years ago

When I saw the switch with Lee on him, I was hoping he would pull a Ginobli. Pump fake, get guy in air, get contact. Nah, he pulled a Gordon and shot an air ball in the clutch. nitetrain8601
Not that I'm excusing a bad game, but where is the blame on the other players such as Kirk, Drew Gooden, Nocioni? When we win, it wasn't because of Gordon. When we lose, Gordon blew. What happened to we wouldn't miss a beat without him? Where are those people who say, Gordon isn't a difference maker? Rose has an excellent game, Noah has an excellent game, Gordon has a bad game(he's been in a slump), and the Bulls lose. So I guess that makes Rose and Noah non-factors? [/rant] I hope Gordon comes out of this slump because we need him in order to win. Sucks we lost to a terrible team. It was nice seeing Larry on the bench again. The Bulls as currently built cannot win without Ben Gordon's scoring. If other guys have bad games, the Bulls can still find a way to win, but if Gordon shoots poorly, the Bulls are probably going to lose. In addition, Gordon is a bit of a one trick pony (even with his improved play in others areas this year), and if his shot isn't falling, he's a noticeable liability to the team while on the floor. One thing that is clear is that this team isn't going to the playoffs or around .500 though, so it might be time to start hoping for losses and ping pong balls soon. In addition, the Bulls better bring a major scorer into the fold if Gordon leaves because as much as poeple like myself dislike Ben, the Bulls need those 18 to 22 points a game. Well, I think all Bulls fans are better off hoping for a trade. This upcoming draft is by far the worst one of this decade. Nobody besides Blake Griffin looks to be an impact player. I like Greg Monroe myself, but at that, I could easily see him turning into a nobody.

whitesoxfan101
Dwyane Wade, you aren't who we thought you were? From Siohvaughn's pleading: ``Dwyane has dissipated substantial sums of marital property including . . . buying his mother a $2 million church; placing substantial sums of money in an account with another woman; providing numerous friends and family members with unfettered access to accounts with hundreds of thousands of dollars of marital funds from which they made substantial withdrawals . . .'' Meanwhile, she says, he cut her off financially. Dwyane, named a ''Father of the Year'' in 2007 by the National Father's Day Committee, has gone ''months'' without seeing his boys, Siohvaughn says. His ''failure to spend time with them . . . has resulted in the children at times being afraid of him; in fact, Zion . . . does not recognize or know Dwyane.'' She wants sole custody, and support. She also says she has suffered ''grievous physical, emotional and mental injury'' from the STD, diagnosed in the fall of '07. (The infection is not HIV or a ''killer thing,'' sources say.) Dwyane and his ''paramour or paramours'' are liable, she alleges. 'Dwyane must disclose the identity of all of his sexual partners during the parties' marriage,'' says her counter-petition, prepared by attorney Michael J. Berger of Chicago. Siohvaughn has another Chicago lawyer, Dorene Marcus. Wow. If true, this is once again proof that the one thing almost all athletes in all pro sports have in common is they aren't faithful. DBAHO
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 17, 2009 -> 03:18 AM) Think it's about time to start looking at the Magic as a legitimate contender in the EC. They've got to be the least talked about 32-8 team I can remember. Very impressive road win against by far the best team in the west tonight. Yeah we've got the best road record in the NBA IIRC. We've just been doing what we've been doing. Dwight's progressions into a bonafide superstar and Nelson's all-star level play have obviously made the differences there. Steve9347
Another league source has confirmed that the Bulls and Nets are discussing a trade that would send Larry Hughes to New Jersey in exchange for Bobby Simmons and Maurice Ager. It's up to the Nets to sign off on the deal, which amounts to the swapping of bad contracts. Hughes is owed $12.8 million this season and $13.7 million next season -- Simmons' is owed $9.9 million this season and $10.6 million next season. One bad contract deserves another. Steve9347
I honestly think, and this is all me, I’ve seen nothing to prove it, that the Bulls would be NUTS to not make an offer for Elton Brand. Gooden, Noah, Nocioni and a pick. The 76ers have proven they play better without him (8 game winning streak of recent until they lost the other night), and Brand has proven he’s not even close to 100%. However, you let Brand rest most of the rest of the season (limited minutes, keep him in game shape though) and put him on a workout regimen to improve the strength in his legs and shoulders. Next year, you have a very solid base where Deng can begin doing what he does best: slashing, and Rose can set them both up. Having Gordon around would be bonus, but he’s likely gone.
