clujer420
LOL, around 10. The whole thing is stupid -- what's keeping fans of the other teams/players from doing the same thing? It's pretty pointless really.

clujer420
you just say that because you are gay and you are from tampa bay LMAO. Everyone who's been here for any length of time knows where I am from, and it is not Tampa Bay. You CAN be a fan of a team and not live in that city, my friend. And it's pointless that 1 person can vote 1,000,000 times for Player A, yet if 1,000,000 people vote once each for Player B, it's a tie. That is absurd, and if you do not see that, YOU are absurd. Anyway, that guy said that I'm gay and that I'm from Tampa Bay. Neither of those statements is true. He assumed that because my current avatar (which I change on a pretty regular basis) is of the Buccaneers' logo that I'm from there -- when in fact I was simply showing support for my favorite team of 10 years (I'm not a loser bandwagon fan). Afterall, their logo is awesome. Clear everything up?

clujer420
LOL. The only team local to me that I like are the Lakers (bring on the boos and hisses). But again, I'm not a bandwagon fan there, either. I've been a fan of theirs ever since the Showtime Era (brought upon by my mom, but I chose to stick with them when I was old enough to decide for myself, even though they SUCKED ASS in the early-mid 90's). I was a huge Bo Jackson fan in the 80's, and when the Royals gave up on him and sold him to the Sox, they became my favorite team by default. I didn't know any of the Sox players at that time, but I grew to know and love them, and continued to follow them even after Bo departed. Frank became my favorite player after Bo retired, and it remains that way. So, I've been a big Sox fan for going on 10 years now.

Chisoxfn
Well Indy, I've lived in Cali all my life and am the same way. My family is from Chitown though (Moms side; She was born and raised on the Southside, but she isn't a huge baseball fan). I think I became a fan because of all the games I got to see on WGN and for some reason things clicked.

Grebeck Fan Club
I've been to Chicago once in my life and I've been a Sox fan for more than 20 years. There's nothing wrong with a little out-of-town support. I'm voting for Thomas as much as possible. Is that stupid? I don't care; I want him in the game, even if all he does is tip his cap and sit on the bench.
