A huge can of Hormel chili. A can of hominy. Mix it together. Cook it like a casserole. Top it with crumbled bacon and any kind of cheese. Serve it over plain macaroni. Mmmmmm.

Speaking of Hormel Chili.

Heres a really good dip/snack thats easy to make:

Get a round dish.

Spread Philadelphia Cream Cheese on bottom.

Pour Hormel Chili on top of that.

Heat it for bout minute.

Then put shreded cheddar cheese on top.

Heat till its warm and you good to go along with your choice of chips.

I'm guessing you're looking simple and cheap and easy clean up. So here ya go. Pasta with Butter

Boil the water, when it's rolling add some salt then the pasta, cook to al dente or your preference. Scoop out about half cup of the pasta water before you drain it. Leave the pasta in the colander and return the pot to the stove. Heat up some extra virgin olive oil and add some butter. When the butter is melted add the pasta back to the pot along with some of the pasta water you scooped out earlier. Mix well and coat all the pasta with the sauce...if it seems a little dry add some more pasta water until you like it. Add garlic powder and some salt and pepper to taste. Add in grated cheese, mix, stir...eat. One meal...One Pot.

I didn't give you measurements because you can make as much or as little as you want of this....I would say for half box of pasta you'd use about 2-3 tbsp of butter and 1/4 cup of olive oil.

If you had the time and extra cash....I would use freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano instead of just grated cheese and I would saute real garlic instead of using garlic powder. Heat the butter, oil and garlic in a separate skillet and pour it over the pasta when its done...but if you want cheap fast easy...this is it. Toss in some broccolli or chicken to add some extra protein and nutrients.

Put all the ingredients in a glass dish at one time, and heat it in the oven - much better temperature throughout. It's money. Watch the cheese to figure out when it's done.
