QUOTE (Reddy @ May 28, 2008 -> 05:31 PM)
just the quality of the atbats, missing cookies, lots of pop ups

I hear you, but that seems to be the line on a lot of the hitters and not just Carlos. Just a bad stretch, but at least he made contact and got it far enough out there for the score. I want to see that replay of Alexei's slide at home.

i didn't say it was just carlos, but i really dont wanna see him fall into the crap that the rest of our hitters are mired in.

Westbrook throws it in other batters box and gets a strike called.

It looks like ole Jake is getting some hometown love on a couple of those calls in the strike zone

Great stat for CQ: with a runner on third and less than two out, CQ has scored the guy 13 of 16 times this season.

Now that's impressive. Just curious, what's OC's stats?

The fact Alexei scored on such a shallow ball underlines the speed factor once again. We didn't really do anything that inning...a walk, a hit, a swinging bunt, a short fly ball, but because we had speed on the bases were able to get the lead. I loved that inning.

Now lets see Gav keep the hammer down.

true, but it was also one of those plays where a bigger runner probably would've plowed martinez.

Check out Fathom's sig for the answer to that. They're pretty underwhelming.

With a 100 pitch count limit, and Thome leading off, I imagine we will be seeing Perez to start the 6th.

4 innings against Cleveland's "2nd worst ERA in the bigs" bullpen is not a bad thing.
