BamaDoc
If Crede leaves the Sox, is it possible he could reach type B status? I think that is ranking 21-40 percent for 3b,2b,ss. Is it a two or three year average. I think plate appearances is included so last year would really hurt but I would love a sandwhich pick. Anyone help? 3E8
The Elias free agent rankings are a two year average. For the most recent '06-'07 ranking, Crede was ranked 24 out of 70 (2B, SS, 3B) and made B-status by four spots. Now the next ranking before he is eligible for free agency will include '07 (awful year) and this season, where he is basically replicating his '06 numbers. So if he can remain healthy and stay on-pace offensively, he will have a shot to again just make the B-type cutoff
Chisoxfn
I think he'll end up getting us type B compensation, which will be one early round pick (depends on what the team who signs Crede does in FA; Ie, if they sign other guys who will be Type A or B players).
