SoxFan1
Who are the participants? Delgado and A-Rod must be in it. If Frank makes it he should. Pujols should be in it.

upnorthsox
They usually take the top 5 in HR's for each league, Soriano or Boone may bow out to let Frank in though.
Bighurt52235
I think it would be cool if Everett was in. I'm still surprised he made it, at DH no less. Frank should have been over him. Alos, former teammate Jaun Gonzalez has a higher BA, more HR's, and more RBI's. I don't get how the managers select the players.
mreye
Everett was selected by the players, not the Manager.
Cerbaho-WG
Every time I've watched the HRD, the etam that hosts the event has always had somone in it. I think Everett may be in it just because of that.

NO to Frank in the home run derby - doing that thing throws off a batters swing - has PK ever been the same since last year's? :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou no to Frank in home run derby

When it was in Coors Field, I remember Damion Easly was in the HRD! he had like 11 HR's before the AS break!
SuperSteve
Bonds 25, Lowell 26, Pujols 26, Edmonds 27, and Delgado 28 are all but certain to be in it. I have to think Frank will make the team because Mike Sweeney is hurt, and Frank will be in the Derby. I do not want him to be in it, but I would still hope he wins. It would be cool to see him win at the Cell. Frank could still be in the derby even if hes not an AS. Sosa was asked to be in it, all 12 HR of his, even though he's not an AS. He turned it down. When it was in Coors Field, I remember Damion Easly was in the HRD! he had like 11 HR's before the AS break! It didn't seem to throw off the other contestants. Konerko hurt his foot last year, he shouldn't have even been playing. That's what caused his dropoff. A lot of these guys play homerun derby everyday in bp its not going to affect their swings. YASNY
ARod has begged out because of a sore neck. Bonds is not going to participate either.
