DBAHO
Headed out there tomorrow. Can't bring alcohol into the track (boooo). So is Big Brown a shoo-in, or should I put some money on a roughie in the feature race?
fathom
Is Affirmed going to be in the luxury suites waiting to drink champagne if Big Brown loses?
Steve9347
QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 03:26 PM) So is Big Brown a shoo-in, or should I put some money on a roughie in the feature race? Big Brown is a shoo-in. The money is to put down a 1-2 Exacta with Big Brown as the 1 and a couple of other horses finishing 2 (maybe even one long shot). Everything short of trying to interview the animal to get a NAY as a quote.
WilliamTell
I'm so angry. I've been looking forward to this for 3 weeks and I have tornado warnings all around me in every direction, so I can't watch it.

Milkman delivers
They do this every year. They always try to make it seem like someone is going to get the Triple Crown, and the horse always gets smoked in the final race. Did you hear the stuff right before the race? They were talking about how Big Brown was cool and collected. It's a f***ing horse.

fathom
Something seems very fishy with this whole thing. No one can find anything wrong with Big Brown, and considering the money they're going to get for his stud fees, you have to wonder if this was planned out IN CASE he wasn't going to win. I'm glad it lost. Granted, it's a "good" one, I guess, but Dutrow is a major douche.
SuperSteve
Big Brown's stud rights have already been sold for upwards of $50m (or so the rumors go). I still don't consider Big Brown a true super horse. I don't know, I just don't buy him racing against inferior horses.
DBAHO
Biggest fall from grace I have seen. 1 minute everyone is cheering for him, and then when they run into the home straight everyone started booing. Quite hilarious really. He was gone when they started going round the final turn. I did manage to see Shaq as well, and was pretty close to him. Someone asked him who was going to win the finals, he said Boston. Pretty funny.
