StrangeSox
Best Sox game I've ever been to in my life (I didn't get the chance for any 2005 playoffs games). Edited June 7, 2008 by StrangeSox
bjm676
QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 11:58 PM) One very interesting aspect of tonight's game... Nobody on the Sox struck out. It's the first time it's happened since late 2005... The day we clinched against Detroit. Wow, even with Konerko and Thome in the same lineup? That is truly amazing. AWhiteSoxinNJ
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 11:02 PM) This team is clicking right now. I could easily see them sweeping this homestand. I am, literally, in love. I mean, when the toughest matchup on paper for the team is one where the opposing pitcher is Livan Hernandez, you are looking good. and thank god they traded Santana. Wanne
QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 11:58 PM) One very interesting aspect of tonight's game... Nobody on the Sox struck out. It's the first time it's happened since late 2005... The day we clinched against Detroit. After just scanning the box score again I was gonna post that. That's amazing. I honestly can't EVER remember that happening.

GoodAsGould
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 10:43 AM) That Gomez kid is going to haunt us for a long time instead... Not to the extent that Santana did lol, also Gomez still has a little ways to go. He has created too many outs on the basepaths and has some holes in that swing. southsider2k5
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 12:17 PM) Not to the extent that Santana did lol, also Gomez still has a little ways to go. He has created too many outs on the basepaths and has some holes in that swing. It won't take him too long to learn that stuff. The kid is hugely talented. GoodAsGould
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) It won't take him too long to learn that stuff. The kid is hugely talented. A lot of guys are talented that never learn that stuff lol. We will see how he progresses into next year but Im not ready to call him a star yet... although he certainly does have that potential. I think it is nitpicking to look at a guy playing in his first major league experience and to talk down about him because of that stuff. He is going to be a legit 5 tool guy. He has a quick bat, excellent glove, good arm, and he can flat out fly. Those things you can't teach. Baserunning you can teach.
