SoxFan562004
this is a total hindsight 20/20 thing, and not original, but the Twins and MLB got killed that the Twins were forced to pick Mauer over Prior in the draft because of $$, damn, worked out well

SoxFan562004
QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 01:15 PM) ive stopped listening to the people that doubt their drafts...they took revere last year like 2 rounds ahead of where anyone had him going, and he hit like .340 albeit in rookie ball but still Yeah, I think we've seen firsthand those mofos can develop players. Mauer is one hell of a player. Is there any talk of taking him from behind the plate? It probably is too early in his career for that though. GoodAsGould
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 12:19 PM) 1-2-3 in the 1st. Is the first time Sox are seeing Perkins? First time they seen him starting, have seen him in bullpen where he has been relatively successful vs us I think. Probably as a starter he has 1-2 more pitches the sox havent seen.
